Challfc
Are we expecting one last headliner? On the pukkelpop poster it has Eminem and NIN, Neil Young and Prodigy in big lettering and only XX in big letters for the saturday. If so whos your bets on, im going for a curveball and RHCP announcing european dates after coachella.
karelaanzee
No. If there will play one act after The xx, it will be something to dance. Chase & Status or Skrillex.
Challfc
new to the forum and still getting my head around it. RHCP would be amazing, surely a big headline must be announced to finish the festival,as popular as the xx are in Belgium,a headliner I think not. Challfc
Skrillex would be a good way to finish off, fingers crossed.
thetime
I say no. Humo, the magazine that is an important partner of Pukkelpop, announced The xx as the headliner for Saturday. So I'm saying the name next to The xx in big letters will be a closing dance act (Skrillex or something his size) or a strong coheadliner (perhaps sharing Phoenix with Werchter?). It isn't like Pukkelpop to have three huuuuge headliners.
amfest12
it will be a dream but to see even one of the following (which are all in tour) will be great! deep purple gov't mule nick cave steven wilson iggy pop alice in chains jamiroquai
Semprini
Thanks to Semprini for all the info he has supplied about pukkelpop over the years, it has been invaluable.
truly_mangled
In my opinion Skrillex seems pretty set for to close it off, what with him doing Leeds also and touring around August... Can't wait to find out the "innovative bands" Chokri mentioned in the April 22nd link... The heavy hitters all done? Any nice medium ish bands to steal from Frequency and Lowlands? Joellc
Hi, New to the forums but already gained some valuable information from this thread! But have a few questions. 6 of us Travelling to Pukkelpop from the North East via Calais. How far are the car parks from the camping? Probably going to need a lot of trips back and forth to transport all the beer We are arriving the Wednesday, can you actually enter the main festival site on the Wednesday and is there dance acts/other events etc on the night? Are barbecues allowed on the campsite? Cheers in advance, really looking forward to our first Pukkelpop experience!
TheNewUnion
Festival gates open on Wednesday and there is the "Boiler Party" on Wednesday night, which is always mint. Basically DJ's playing tunes in and around the Boiler Room tent. Normally a brilliant night. Car Parks I'm not sure really, there are 3 camp sites so depending on which one the distance could vary. It's not that far though, a mile max I would say. I think BBQ's are OK, I have seen people with BBQ's on the go so no issues that I remember. Trufflehound
Can't speak for Camping B and C as they probably have their own car parks, but the main car park for the festival site and Camping A is just south of the railway, about a 15-minute walk each way. When you arrive you are allowed to stop briefly on the verge outside the campsite A and festival site entrances to unload gear (if you can find a space), but don't leave your car unattended there for any time, because it will get towed away within minutes - they are pretty hot on that, and I've watched several people losing their vehicles that way. Joellc
Cheers for the advice guys! Worth noting about being able to stop and unload the cars, will try that but perhaps some further information regarding the camping and parking will come out before. Anything else i need to know or any insider tips from any of the veterans?
truly_mangled
Just picked up from a tweet from this guy https://twitter.com/GielDops/status/325175184610955264 50+ names to be added on Monday mentioned from Chokri himself... Sweet! Werchter are completing their line up today so I would imagine some good names there for people to hold out on maybe...

TheNewUnion
Hoping for some pop, soul and funky stuff to keep the Mrs happy. At this rate she'll be watching the likes of Slayer with me and moaning about it! Looking forward to some good acts in the announcement, roll on Monday (apart from, y'know being back in work and that)

Frankly Mr Shankly
Not a bad announcement. I'm still considering this as an alternative to Leeds. Surprised Chase & Status aren't playing after the XX on the Saturday though.

Trufflehound
Pleased to see Crystal Castles and Miles Kane coming back. They were two of the acts I was most looking forward to before the 2011 storm. Very pleased with Godspeed You! Black Emperor too. One of my all-time favourites. Talking of which, I'm also looking forward to Johnny Marr. I saw hundreds, if not thousands, of bands in the 1980s, but somehow contrived never to see The Smiths...
