Don't think it can be Sabbath any more. SOAD day will be metal day, and that's friday. Sabbath would be Sunday (bigger than Biffy ofc) so I reckon it has to be an indie headliner last

if so, as said SOAD are not going to sub to Mumford or Blur. I'd guess The Prodigy, Black Sabbath or AC/DC as a long shot. Don't think Metallica

Yeah pretty much if you combine SOAD doing Sunday at ReS, Eminem's website tour dates and what was allegedly said about Biffy closing Reading.

Prodigy are the only ones who've announced anything so far this summer aren't they out of all those.

Metallica. Or someone else.... But only a fool would think it an impossibility that Metallca would be announced for a festival, even if it's only a year since they last played one... Happened last year!

If system are the sub I think it rules out all the weaker possibilities (Mumford, bloc party) and probably Blur, only really Prodigy are a possibility outside of the behemoths (Sabbath, AC/DC, The Who, Metallica, Aerosmith(because why the fuck not!?))

Article basically says Sabbath won't be playing the UK till late Autumn but RATM might have some shows planned, perhaps they'll play above SOAD

They are perfectly able to get The Prodigy to headline over them. SOAD are not headline size for Reading and Leeds Festival. No argument about it or anything but they aren't, they don't deem themselves to be above subbing which is why they aren't.

Before we continue this speculation any further, we may as well lose AC/DC as an option - there's as much chance of Martin Luther King headlining this year as there is AC/DC.
