Andre91
I'd be so pleased with Metallica, never seen them before and they've been one of my favourites for years. Slipknot would be amazing, but have Download and R&L ever shared a headliner before?
Yellow_Fellow
Oh, forgot about Download lol. Scrap that, Metallica all the way subbed by Slipknot
dentalplan
Didn't realise it was the drummer who said that, apologies. Also I wasn't being entirely serious.

Yellow_Fellow
SOAD said the third headliner is a band they've played with before - it doesn't specify that it's their headliner
Andre91
I thought the same thing Will Although System subbing Biffy, FOB subbing Eminem and Slipknot subbing Metallica would be an absolute dream haha.
Gucci Piggy
I was just responding to the second bit of what you said, about Rage but it not being a strong enough link.

thesecretingredientiscrime
If its Metallica I'll assume r&l has now become a BBC3 reality programme run by interns forced to do the most ridiculous things to get a job.
5co77ie
err they played on the same bill as Metallica quite often including at Reading

Lost_addict
After some very slight digging i thought i'd add to the thousands of bands that system have played with once before many years ago. (This was in 2003) "System Of A Down and Red Hot Chili Peppers will play a Nov. 15 benefit concert for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music and the Warschaw Center for Prostate Cancer Research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to Billboard.com. The show will be held at the Palladium in Los Angeles. Also appearing will be Mike Watt. Tickets go on-sale Thursday (Nov. 13) via Ticketmaster." http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/system_of_a_down_to_play_benefit_concert.html Edited February 13, 2013 by Lost_addict

Yellow_Fellow
I'm glad the best clue we've gotten for any headliner this year has provided us with such precision in our ability to work out who's playing.
Asdaprice
I wouldn't say that clue, is really a clue. It depends what context it's in, because if it means someone they played at the same fest with, that makes it huge. I would assume it means they toured together with the headliner, which makes the 3rd headliner, a heavy one!
