Mouseboy11
All people seem to want on Facebook is arctic monkey, KOL and other recycled headliners, hell there are calls for the foos back. I mean I love them but I wouldn't want to see a festival repeat like that. Arctic monkeys gave one of the dullest performances I have ever seen at a festival in 09. I went to their own show thinking it was a one off, then they gave that same dull performance at their own show the autum of 09. It just goes to show that people want what's popular and despite what people keep saying about how boring the same bands doing the headline slots at festivals the majority of the audience couldn't care less and would like to see the same bands headline over and over. I'm sure most forget that those bands were once not headliner acts and they had to make the step up at one point.

Luke Routledge
Arctics have a constant stream of demand- they're one of those bands you have to like as a teenager and so there are plenty of people who haven't seen them yet (me included- despite trying for YEARS). I don't think people really care if others say a band, especially a big band, are boring live, they still want to go and check them out for themselves. I agree, its annoying when people call for bands that have headlined in the last 3/4 years but I can see where they are coming from. I've missed out on Arcade Fire, Blink, Pulp & The Strokes over the last 3 years because I wasn't really old enough to go...
Chrisl2510
It hasnt been that hard to see the Arctics didnt they do a massive arena tour a year or two ago?
Chrisl2510
Also on the subject of Arctics being dull live, i saw them in 05 off the back off their first album and they were brilliant. Then saw them in 09 and they were quite poor, and pretty dull, then saw them in 2011 and they were excellent. I don't know if it was to do with them touring humbug (which isn't the liveliest album) in 09 and the majority of the set will have been from that album. I also don't think it helped their R+L performance that humbug had only been out a few days before the fest so not too many people will have known the songs too well. Com Truise
A year or two ago I wasn't really a gig goer, it's a shame really, if I'd been born 2 or 3 years earlier, I'd have been at some incredible Leeds festivals

Com Truise
My first Leeds fest was 08, been every year since and it's never managed to live up to that year.
Chrisl2510
I wasn't into Radiohead yet in 09, now they're one of my favourite bands who I'm desperate to see. Biggest mistake i made was going to see Lost Prophets instead because my mates wanted to although a lot of people didn't seem too impressed by Radiohead. Anyone see them in 09? Any good? Luke Routledge
09 through 11 would have been perfect for me, if only for bands like Rise Against and We Are The Ocean, unfortunately 2012 was my first time. I know last years lineup got a lot of stick, but I loved it, Courteeners in the NME tent easily a highlight
Com Truise
I have been going since 08 or 09 and I thought last one was the best. Rise Against on the mainstage just didnt work

Luke Routledge
Aye I'd love to see them play the Lock-Up stage, Rise Against and Bloc Party are 2 acts I've really been wanting to get announced this year!
Superunknown
Pearl Jam have confirmed the release of a new album in 2013, I'm probably clutching at straws here but it's a possibility, right?
Luke Routledge
New album would make the look very strong. http://www.nme.com/news/pearl-jam/68861 SOAD into Pearl Jam? Sounds weird but would get me a ticket.
Com Truise
Wouldnt hold out breath on Rise Against. They said they are taking the year off but they are doing some punk festival in america. Bloc Party must be playing!
the wonderwhy
In fairness to Green Day and their 'terrible trio' I think Kill The DJ sounds really good. That's about it though... That said, I would like the chance to see them live. I'm not a huge fan, but much like Foos last year I'm sure they'd put on an epic show, and the classics would be awesome. That said I'd much rather have Rage, or Blur, or Pearl Jam, or Sabbath, or Metallica...
Superunknown
I'm sure I'll see Rise Against at some point, if they toured here I can't see it being overly pricey. Personally already love the lineup and think it's worth going just to see whos already been announced, but Bloc Party would make it complete. On a topic note, never listened to Black Sabbath, and if they played I'd want to know a fair amount of their stuff, any suggestions where to kick off? Think they'd be a great announcement for the fest even though I have no preference, might put some chavs off going as well
Gravyshambles
Uno was a solid album, Dos was average, tre was fucking awful.

Com Truise
I started off with their greatest hits then eased into the studio albums so I'd suggest listening to Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs, Fairies Wear Boots, Changes, Sweet Leaf. Hopefully they'd put the chavs off, that's one of the main reasons I'm gunning for a heavy act, as opposed to Linkin Park or Green Day, though I wouldn't mind Green Day tbh. jonodillieono
Seen them twice and it's about £18, they normally do a decent tour every album. Always good setlists. Edited February 22, 2013 by jonodillieono
Mouseboy11
but no Paper Wings Seen them in Manchester the year before last, they were amazing and I'm dying to see them again. Tom Morello was also one of the best support acts I've ever seen (behind Biffy and Chvrches)
