Nirvana are over rated, and I love them. Discuss....

The point I'm trying to make is what makes a band that aren't shit? Nirvana went big because of never mind, which is a great album, but a jaw dropping holy shit album? No. In my opinion it's like a weezer album. Quiet verse, loud chorus, popular punk (labelled grunge because of the scene). You could argue they weren't the 1st to do that style, because of the pixies who influenced them massively.

A band is great if they have great songs and can perform a great set, but never will everyone in the world agree on those things for any band.

"I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show. Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked – which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows." - Trent Renzor

I am actually starting to believe this could happen!

welcome to efests

We're all so edgy, musical is objective and nirvana are not the best

Anyway. NIN. seriously. This is great news. They should do a UK Fest. 6 years since their last, would build nice to their US shows. Subbing Biffy would be mind blowing Gaz but where's the source?

Yup.

Nirvana weren't even the first grunge band.... Mudhoney/Soundgarden/Screaming Trees/Pearl Jam all came before them.

What makes a band not be shit, is doing something different to everyone else (not necessarily phenomenally ground-breakingly different), or doing something better.
