Its not that straight forward though is it, do people care less because acts are less popular? Manics, bjork, courtney, pulp for example.

Or do more people CARE because they realise what great talent they are.

Foo fighters are very popular for people who want a harder version of coldplay, thats all they are mainstream guitar. Do people really care? People cared about cobain as it showed in his music, but hey grohls got a great smile.

I just don't get why it's so important. When did it become such a crime to make simple music that didn't encourage people to slit their wrists through loyalty, or to like a band's music simply because you like their music? People are too quick to judge music or music fans that they think are inferior or that aren't 'real' enough. I did it when I was 17 but I grew out of it a long time ago, it's bullshit. Caring seems to be this badge of honour that makes you better than others. I'm sorry but if you 'care' about Courtney Love then you're no better than the One Direction or Little Mix fans that we're all so keen to look down on.

Either you like the noise a band makes or you don't. Who gives a fuck how popular they are/aren't, how popular they would/wouldn't be if various other factors are/aren't taken into consideration, whether they do/don't deserve to be as popular as they are, what their fans are like and whether those fans are/aren't 'real' music fans.

To be fair Courtney and Kurts relationship is what inspired the drugs which led to Kurts suicide, so......... Also foo fighters hate Coldplay. They would not like being compared to them. And Dave had a massive input in nirvanas sound whereas Courtney had a massive input in terms of being the subject of many of kurts thoughts. Summed up for you. N dubz reunion to headline.
