Chrisl2510
Never really heard much NIN or attempted to listen to them. Any tips on where to start? Best album/songs etc?
Millar95
I really hope these rumours about Greenday aren't true, because I can not stand them! I'd rather go see Alt-j and I'm not exactly their biggest fan either!

Asdaprice
So when you quote me your post isn't directed at me? I never said AC/DC would be a good booking. Are you really complaining that someone on a forum is critiquing someone else's response? You said Green Day would be a good booking, to which I said it's debatable based on recent performances of unstable band members, recent material/populairty based on flopped and non-sold out shows to which your repsonse was you like their classic songs... Asdaprice
NIN have a wide range of songs, and for a good mix i'd say listen to; Closer - seedy sex dungeon music March Of The Pigs - just how mental they can sound Head Like A Hole - Their earlier sound. Massive song. Every Day is Exactly The Same - Kind of more chilled song of theirs. Hurt - The Ballad. The Beginning Of The End - Got me into them, might do you All of a range of their albums too. jonodillieono
They aren't really a singles band, Downward Spiral is considered by some as their best album but I'd recommened With Teeth or Pretty Hate Machine first and then move on to their other stuff. the wonderwhy
March Of The Pigs on The Downward Spiral is excellent. Only just really started listening to them. Would be awesome to see them live
jump
It's aimed at your comments, but some things I mention are more general statements, ie, many people thought 2009s headliners were great. I never said you did. I was comparing 2 very different kinds of headliner bookings, established rock bands, and newer bands doing it of a back on an album. Jesus, so not even ACDC are a good booking. good thing you're not a festival booker, it would be fucked! Seriously out of curiosity, who would be a good final headliner in your terms? And no I'm not critiquing, I'm enjoying this, and I actually do agree with you on many things. I agree Green Day have had a dip, sure, but I'm also adding that now Billies out of rehab, they could get back on form and still do a killer show. It's their status which makes them a good booking IN MY OPINION. If thats not yours cool, but I'm genuinely interested on what makes a good booking for you. Mouseboy11
This to me just shows how awesome NIN are, is Arron still with them? Edited February 26, 2013 by Mouseboy11

Asdaprice
My bad, I didn't realise you aimed comments at me weren't actually directed at me. I'll make a note of this for future reference. I haven't commented on AC/DC being a good or a bad booking. I know Green Day being a good booking is your opinion, I disagreed with your opinion and gave reasons and you then started going on about how it's your opinion rather than debate the actual issues I raised. Can I please check if your aimed question of what would be a good booking is directed at me or not?

Asdaprice
I would reply about what's a good booking but you said it was a comment directed at me and not a question directed at me and you seem to get arsey about this kind so I better play it safe. Asdaprice
I think we've exhausted the 3rd headliner seeing as no one can agree on any 1 band being capable/likely/available. And I blame SOADS comment in kerrang for that. Had that not been said we'd still be saying Blur.

mrtourette
As good as they were I don't recall NIN having a particularly large crowd last time, but then again it was nearly six years ago. People have commented about the massive crowd but that's not how I remember it.
