Gucci Piggy
I was just about to reply to a different post asking you that and saying that haha. Makes sense. Fests do have a thing of putting bands heading two stages at one time you want to see, but that's an attractive prospect for the fest. Millar95
Haha, anyway, I'd like Editors and NIN in the NME opposite Green Day and Eminem. Or NIN to sub Biffy and MBV to headline NME instead.
thetime
My bad, I mean the people that use the same computer as you tend to multiple times a year get carried away when hearing a rumour from a very weak source and I was reminding you what normally happens in this situation that it turns out to be false. thetime
I think you may have misunderstood my post I love Biffy and NIN, and dislike Green Day and Eminem, so I wouldn't be seeing anyone else on the Biffy/NIN night.

hundhun17
NIN are one of those bands who have a huge following but have never really penetrated the mainstream consciousness in the UK. They have sort of been this massive ever growing cult on the outside. I get why its a weird situation. As NIN dont really fit the mass demographic Reading is trying to appeal to Most of the young GCSE kids at Reading will never have heard anything by NIN. And were probably not even alive when the Downward Spiral was released. It just seems weird that a band who has sold 20 million records had Johnny Cash cover them and have a singer that has won an oscar and huge hardcore fanbase and such a legendary influential status would play below (other than Eminem) anyone else on that bill. thetime
I like your thinking! They'll probably stick Bat For Lashes on the FR at the same time just to piss me off even more.

dentalplan
To be honest I'm of the opinion that if you focus on the part where John Dolmayan said 'we had a really good offer' hard enough, then the 'band we'd really like to play with again' thing can mean extremely little. Could be anyone, but it's likely to be heavy.

dentalplan
Kinda hoping it isn't one of Sabbath/Green Day/LP/Metallica etc, just to mix it up a bit, A NICE SURPRISE, emphasis on the nice. Com Truise
Howard Marks for third headliner. I wouldn't be surprised if SOAD had been at a show with him and wouldn't mind working with him again.
