How can you make a comment like that when you have not seen them? When people say there shit live your not going to base an opinion on that, but your saying there better live now without seeing them.

Seems to be a bit of a daft thing to say, especially as your one of the more sensible ones on here.

From personal experience from 25 years going to gigs/festivals ive never seen a band being shit and suddenly being great live. Bands can have bad days like anyone in the workplace, going by what people have said from different festivals they were shit all summer long.

Im sure im not alot in having no interest in seeing them again from there poor showings, a bit like kings of leon.

I'm gonna sound really obnoxious here, but those people probably for the most part, aren't dedicated music fans. Most kol/arctic fans I've met have either been young indie girls, or the kind of lads that have no interest in actually playing music or picking up an instrument - it's more of a "thing" to conform. They wanna say they've seen these bands live and be cool with the image.

Now this isn't true for everyone, but I'd say a large amount, and that's why there shows still sell out. If you see a band like rage, or foos, and then compare it to arctics / kol, there will be a massive difference in atmosphere. Bands that look like they enjoy what they do don't care about conforming to the image and so don't attract the kind of audience I stated earlier.'

Disagree with this, at the arctics gig at don valley all of us left saying it was brilliant, even those who pteviously didnt like them. Whereas watching the foos at leeds half my friends left through boredom. Im not saying arctics are better live, just its wrong to compare them in a way that depicts them as inferior because fans of other bands, such as rage n foos, are supposedly bigger music fans, which is untrue anyway.
