Also had a stupidly packed NME tent for Pendulum and Blink was packed. Guns wasn't, not at Leeds anyway but many had decided to go home by that point. Which was a mistake cause they were ace! I think we got lucky and after Reading they were going to go all out and smash it

The lockup tent was absolutely packed for Alkaline Trio at Leeds while GnR played, so not sure how many people just chose other stages rather than went home.

I question if it's fanboyism/bias really. I'm just using my own anecdotal evidence. Loads of people my age know SOAD. And every time I go to Reading and I chat to randomers, SOAD come up as a headliner they'd want... 70% of the time? Maybe it's selection bias. Dunno.

Don't get why everyone's hyping SOAD up so much. For me none of my friends would be happy about SOAD being booked, especially if they headlined, they've died in the UK!

SOAD would still shift tickets though. They were an arena band & festival headliner before they split, the fact they've only played 1 UK show since reforming means there's still an awful lot of people yet to see them this time around. Basic supply & demand.

The number of gigs they currently have in row on their touring schedule however makes them slightly less likely imo.
