Eurockéennes 2013

You'll need to take a train to Belfort station, and then there are shuttlebuses and free trains to take you to the festival or campsite.

The campsite is located away from the festival, next to the car park. I've never actually camped, but from what I hear it's pretty nice and friendly and easy to find space. There is a free shuttlebus that takes you from the campsite to the festival (very frequent and well worth the wait imo) or you can walk the 3km along a disused railway line.

Money-wise, I can't actually remember how much anything cost but as it's euros I seem to think I spent about as much as I would at an English festival. Also once you enter the festival for the day, you can't come back out and then go in again. It's a ballache, but they still use paper tickets and stamp holes in them for each day.

I see MBV now confirmed too.

Had already ordered the tickets for this on the strength of Blur, Phoenix, Smashing Pumpkins, Tame Impala, ALT-J & Two Door. Impressive lineup for so few acts announced. That and the fact it's half the price of an equivelant UK festival, sunshine almost guarenteed and the gorgeous setting, made this a no brainer. I'm almost glad I forgot to get up early one Sunday monring to repeatedly hit the refresh button on my browser, chasing some Glasto tickets.

Anyone who's been before, some info would be greatly appreciated. Such as drink in the arena, local supermarches, security, general vibe, vege choice etc.. Just some informed thought dumping.

Ta.

Hey

Is it easy enough to stay in Belfort and travel to the festival rather than camp? Feel a bit too old for campin these days!

Also is it best to travel from Basel to Belfort rather than Paris to Belfort?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Lookin to try this fest rather than do Sziget again. Although I am torn!!

Cheers
