I was surprised to hear they were playing the London O2, thought would be far to big a venue for them to sell out (no idea how well it did sell) but as more arena bands are going to be called up to headline festivals in the future to keep any sort of variety, I think they could possibly headline one day but would likely sub now (on a par with Bloc Party when they subbed?)

As for headlining Latitude, I think this somewhat supports an argument for them moving up the ladders but would be underwhelming for R&L.

I think Deaf Havana could work their way up the bill in a similar way to Biffy, they're growing fairly quickly and I could see them becoming an academy band by the end of next year then arenas a while after that and Reading in 2020 or what not. Also Frank Turner is having huge success currently and I reckon if he keeps growing the way he is could headline in a couple of years.

I was actually really impressed with The 1975's album. Definitely not straightforward rock, 'Sex' is pretty much the only full on rock song on the whole album. And the fact they have enough material to play 20 song shows already is rather impressive too this early in their career.

They have been going as a band for like 10 years though, I think they deserve a bit of credit for that, working their way up by continually touring and putting out music, instead of just riding in on the NME's dick after a year or two of being a band. I think I have 33 of their tracks on my ipod, the only repetitions are I have both the album and EP versions of The City and Sex

It depends imo. I think if Bastille keep going the way they're going they could one day headline V, but I doubt R&L would book them. They'll turn into a Script-esque band. The 1975, however, I'm not sure, it depends on their second album, they could go either way, they could easily make a (even?) poppier second album and appeal to the masses that now adore them, or they could, hopefully, stick to their guns and make what they want to put out, rather than what the mainstream wants them to put out. Dunno if that makes sense really. It's an incredible hard thing to predict off of one album
