it's a very decent setlist in my opinion, and at least they are playing the best 13 songs of opposites in my opinion! The Thaw, imagine that was epic......

also, I reckon we'll get a very similar setlist at reading. A Day Of... could change to any old random jam, as someone said, hopefully Stress On The Sky, that was magic at Soni.

I'm surprised by the lack of Boooom, and Saturday Superhouse, as I'd argue they are 2 of the most accessible Biffy songs, but oh well. Think we'll loose Folding Stars though, a ballad in the form of Opposite has taken over that, and when you see them you don't want too many of those!

Gutted I didnt get a ticket to a UK show now, but I'm Reading bound so I have them to look forward to there....for the 8th or so time!

Ah that's a good one actually! That could happen as they get older, when they headline again in a decent time

Ah, but in relation to a big festival/arena crowd, it's always gonna be one of the anthemic sounding ones, Mountains is probably a given here on in

Who's got match always gets a huge reception when played, almost as big a reaction as mountains and many of horror tonight.

Judging on tonights reactions with a lot of casual fans there, the biggest songs were many of horror, mountains, who's got a match?, stinging belle, the captain and bubbles.

I think Who's got a match would go down well at R&L, just not on the tour, although I'm surprised by the amount of Biffy fangirls that actually prefer their older stuff when they seem like the type who'd prefer Only revs

I think accident without emergency, trumpet or tap and little hospitals are much better than the thaw, skylight and Spanish radio. I would have also liked woo woo to be in there too.

I personally thought the thaw wasn't impressive, hardley any reaction, maybe it'll go down better if its released as a single.

Thats a bit more like it as far as the setlist goes!

Glitter and Trauma back in :D Though I like that as the encore return song :P

I'd add Little Hospitals and 57 and I'd be pretty damn happy! If I had to replace a song, not sure what I would maybe Bubbles/God & Satan (Many of Horror if that was going be realistic to drop :P).

I think for Reading they will drop 3/4 of the opposites tracks, maybe even 5 depend how they are going by the time they do it!

Pocket is just a rip off of free love freeway. Easily the weakest song on opposites.

But a day of? Aaarrrggghhhh. Can't wait for Monday now.

Oh and on the subject of a set closer, a few decent ones

Now the action is on fire

Glitter and trauma

The captain

Sounds like balloons

Machines (solo acoustic)

So based on that setlist maybe something like this would be ace for Reading:

1. Different People

2. That Golden Rule

3. Sounds Like Balloons

4. Black Chandelier

5. Modern Magic Formula

6. Booooom, Blast & Ruin

7. Opposite

8. Joy. Discovery. Invention

9. Biblical

10. Victory Over The Sun

11. Stress on the Sky

12. Bubbles

13. Spanish Radio

14. A Girl And His Cat/Little Hospitals

15. There's No Such Thing As A Jaggy Snake

16. The Thaw

17. Machines

18. Glitter & Trauma

19. Strung To Your Ribcage

20. Who's Got A Match?

21. Saturday Superhouse

22. The Joke's On Us

23. Toys, Toys, Toys, Choke, Toys, Toys, Toys

24. Many of Horror

25. Stingin' Belle

26. Now The Action Is On Fire

27. Mountains

28. Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies

29. 57

30. All The Way Down

31. The Captain

Obviously mostly leaning on the last two albums but a nice representation of the four albums before.

They did a full two hours in Newcastle, and it lasted two hours with 26 songs and hardley anytime between leaving the stage and coming back for the encore, and no chit chat with the crowd, 5 more songs would have them approaching 2hr 40 territory. So unless their set length is really long ie 2hr30 or more I can't see them getting that many more in.
