Biffy Clyro

Gutted I didn't go see Biffy on their tour but none of my friends care about them at all, and I wasn't up for another solo gig, already had to trek to Watch the Throne all alone last year :(

What do you reckon then, one of the best headline performances of recent years? I reckon it'll beat Foo Fighters for me personally, everyone seemed a bit bored by them overall, although it was an incredible performance

I go to most gigs on my own because most of my gig mates live a fair distance away.. it's not the most fun going on your own but I think the awkwardness of it all is worth not having to think what if? If that makes any sense. My advise is if you want to go to a gig enough go anywayz. It's not worth regretting it.

Doesn't Frank still play Ballad at his own shows? Just not at fests... tis like SOAD with PLUCK they only ever bring it out at their own headline shows. Well since about 2003 anywayz.

Edit: Although pretty certain Frank did Ballad in the Lockup at 2011.

For those of you that don't know for the O2 gigs they've added a secondary barrier midway back in the standing area (a golden circle if you like) if you're too late getting there you won't be able to get into the front half

Yeah I'd like to hear Folding Stars but I can imagine it'd be a hard one for Simon to sing.

Really hope you're right about Little Hospitals for Reading.

I was at Frank Turner's Southampton Guildhall gig, can confirm he did do The Ballad Of Me And My Friends - said beforehand that it was 'retired' but it was a special gig (about as close as he can get to Winchester for a homecoming) so he brought it out again :). Went down very well. Was a cracking gig.
