I went last year. It'll blow your mind.

Remember and pre-register on the site. Tickets were difficult to get last year, system crashes etc, full madness passes sold out in no time and we had to get day tickets for each day instead... Totally worth the effort though.

Firstly, massively excited for this! I really can't wait.

Secondly, I’m not sure if it would be of use to anyone here… but before booking the package, I had booked a hotel nearby as I thought I would just be getting the weekend ticket and would need accommodation. Well, I got the package deal then realised that when I booked the hotel, I couldn’t cancel it. D’oh.

So useful for anyone who has tickets and needs somewhere to stay.

Hotel looks good and close by to the festival. Last year they were fully booked.

Check-in date: Fri 26 Jul 2013

Check-out date: Mon 29 Jul 2013

Arrival time: 14:00

So 3 nights, free Wifi, bed & breakfast for 2 people sharing a double room.

Cost me €405 (around £350) in total for 2 people for the 3 nights. To change the names on the reservation will cost €10 but I will pay that. Cheers.

Possibly unusual question time. I bought 2 tickets for TL for daughter + 1. I possibly should have put her name on the order rather than mine but I assumed it should be me to tie in with the credit card payment. Also, at the time of buying tickets she had no idea who she wanted to take anyway…. It looks like a note comes round in June asking for names for the bracelets. At this point can I put her + boyfriend down or can I only change 1 name? Fortunately I will be in Belgium the same time anyway as I’m dropping her off at the campsite, so if I have to register myself & then go back out again & give the bracelet to her boyfriend I can (assuming they’re not like RW bracelets that can’t be switched).

Assuming I can supply both names when the request is emailed out, I’m also wondering whether I should leave it til much closer to the festival before responding in case she’s not going out with him by then as otherwise presumably she’d have to get photo id off him!? Can’t be the 1st person to encounter this I’m sure…..

Thanks - I guess best thing is to hold fire til the email comes out in June. I'm sure there's loads of people trying to do similar - all the ebay sellers for a start. The advantage I've got is I haven't sold them & will be able to turn up at the festival if necessary before I head off to look at some of the war sites & other attractions. I'm going to Pukkelpop the following month for a festival more suited to my tastes!
