Actually Neil said in a conversation on here with me around this time last year that he thought the Cure were much more suited to headline a festival the size of Latitude rather than R&L.

As I said, that is my prediction based on what I believe at the moment. It may be right, it may turn out not to be.

Small crowds maybe, but everyone I've seen comment on it, who saw it, said it was one of the best performances ever. And if they went up against a shit NME headliner, probably Alt-J, I'd imagine they would get a much bigger crowd.

I think one of The Cure's problems was going up against a very strong top 3 NME in Courteeners > Foster the People > Maccabees, that tent was packed all night as far as I can remember

Perhaps. I just think that besides a select few (notably on this forum) who would love to see NIN headline, the majority of R+,L goers would be very underwhelmed by NIN being announced as headliners, when theyre hoping for Green Day or something like that. I don't actually think half the R+L demographic would have even heard a NIN song to be honest. i can still even see Alt J getting a bigger crowd as well.
