I've found they're are generally relaxed about ID, got served every single time at the bars the last 2 years when I've been 16 & 17 and I don't look much older than I am. Never ID'd when taking booze in either.

Bag Searches are pretty rare so I shouldn't worry too much, but I'd recommend taking spirits in plastic bottles or whatever, not so much to carry and easier to put at bottom of the bag. Can easilt get hold of crates of lager/cider whilst at the festival.

For tent size however many people +1 or even +2 in size, you may be hated as a space whore but at least you'll be comfy whilst laughing at the battery chickens.

I got tent, chair, sleeping mat & sleeping bag from Tesco for around £30 last year. It was around April, they had everything half-ish price.

Sounds great in terms of getting a tent would you suggest bringing a charcoal BBQ to cook breakfast on, or are there plenty of places offering it?

They sell disposable BBQs there, not to expensive if a few of you chip in for a couple. I have a 3 man tent for myself because I just end up with my stuff everywhere, in a two man tent i'd be screwed

I remember being dressed as Bobba Fett at Download last year going to the bar & the security guard taking my helmet off to check how old I looked (I was 19 at the time so I was fine). It's a matter of which bar you go to as to whether they care about ID.

I don't think the baps are happening this year.. i never got one but apparently they wern't good. At reading i just go to the 24 hour breakfast bar every morning

Well last year we got free breakfast for friday, saturday sunday but I doubt that we will get that back this year

If you're travelling by coach or a taxi you might as well just camp in yellow since the entrance is there. Whereas if you're going via car you've got a long walk from the red entrance to get to white.

Going by car on Wednesday, but going home on train/bus on Monday. White seems best position for arena and food though

Me and my mates went last year after GCSE results, camped in a orange 10 mins from funfair, wasnt that loud tbh, the only "disturbence" was from piccadily party on the thursday, about half three i remember all 4 of us woke up to some shitty song that was nothing but bass, plus the lights were shining straight on our tent. But didnt even have that much trouble sleeping, if you just get nicely drunk you'll be fine oh and the breakfast baps were definately worth the twenty minute walk
