Download have much more to lose with SOAD subbing Reading than SOAD do. Download already have such a small pool of legitimate headliners you would think they would be trying to big up a band like SOAD so they still have a headliner. It's not like subbing is a regular occurrence for them.

Man is a muppet. The only reason I can see he has said this is as part of a campaign to knock down their fee as headliner next time. If they come back, and I honestly think that R/L will be their last UK performances ever, then if they play Download he'll have to put god himself on as headliner above them seeing as they are only sub status now in his eyes. Tit.

1) People forgetting that System were down to sub because of BJ's rehab. If that didn't go well and GD couldnt play they wouldn't have a weakish headliner bumped up.

2) With the Pretty Reckless pulling out. Any chance the majority of the time will go to System? Imagine a 1hr50 System set and then 2hr30 of GD.

Just read that in Prague last week Serge was changing words to songs, singing 'This is a really stupid song' instead of the proper lyrics. Sounds like they're still very unhappy, was hoping for a more enthusiastic performance than the one I saw at Download 2011.
