Com Truise
How is still being able to hold a live performance at 40 impressive? Now Neil Young still being incredible, that's impressive.
kaosmark2
For rappers it is, the breathing techniques are a lot harder and a lot of them put in a hard performance, I wouldn't be able to get up on a stage and rap Eminem's songs for 10 minutes, never mind
Com Truise
There's plenty of older rappers still going though.
Areophobia
Can't wait for this! For those who've been to both - is the crowd rowdier at Reading/Leeds or Download?
lightning1000
Depends who's playing. Also download has been subdued the last couple of years because its been a washout
SOAD
Really hope they play Revenga... was gutted they didnt play it at Download... I know it's not exactly likely but guess at least they bring it out sometimes: Epic!

LondonTom
Reading gets more dangerous than heavier fests. Download, and Soni while it existed, can get more intense, but there's usually a greater understanding of mosh etiquette. Everyone backs away if someone falls over etc. I've seen that disregarded a fair bit in pits at Reading. beau1
Agree 100% with that. I'm the same - I HAVE to see Eminem - don't care if he does need to mime a bit. I would hope so, tbh. For one thing when I saw NIN at Soni they stopped playing with about 10 mins left - so I hope they give them a decent length. They deserve it. Well last year both the Foos and the Cure (I wasn't there though) had 2 hour + long sets? So I would assume both Green Day and Biffy will this year, and hopefully, they'll cut a band off to give more time to SOAD and NIN. Areophobia
^Cannot wait for this. I've slagged on Melvin before (in person and on an older account on here) buy SOAD into Green Day is one the best bookings in years, imo.

Andre91
I'd say Deftones 50 mins, SOAD 70 mins and Green Day just over 2 and a half hours.

SOAD
Deftones will get 60 mins... they got 50 mins last time and third from top generally gets 50 to 60 mins... would hardly be any point of them moving up if they get the same length set... reckon they will have 60 mins and SOAD will have 70 to 80... so guessing about 75 Maybe something like: 21:00-23:30 Green Day 19:20-20:35 System of a Down 18:00-19:00 Deftones 16:50-17:40 Frank Turner 15:45-16:30 Bring Me The Horizon 14:40-15:25 New Foung Glory 13:40-14:20 Skindred 12:45-13:25 The Pretty Reckless 12:00-12:30 While She Sleeps Fairly similar to past years Edited July 15, 2013 by SOAD

lightning1000
I'll be at main from skindred onwards, unless alkaline trio are on at same time as deftones. They're the only band I'd miss on main for them. Oh and if green day are boring me (seen the 8 times) ill go check out skrillex.
Com Truise
I might miss the first bit of Green Day's set to see A$AP, but I'm still not sure, I like A$AP more than Green Day, but I know they're going to be amazing live. Although if they do get 2 and a half hours definitely, then I'll watch A$AP, I bloody love Foo's, and last year was the first time seeing them, but the set went on a bit much for me and I was getting pretty bored for the last 20 minutes before the encore forgot this was the soad thread.. the point still stands, I definitely won't miss SOAD to see A$AP though.
