ramragon
Ha ha your full of shit , the only truth bit is the pub we went in! I can tell you a funny tale about that afternoon. As you know 1 of ma good mates dads was in there. My mate said to me " hey father says you were in the Robin Hood with some foreign bloke!" I reply " nah that was Steve a Geordie " Mate says " oh might as well be foreign ".

ramragon
How well you know us, although you'll probably find it was just a chav scantily clad Geordie lass drinking Bacardi breeders, the usual ones drink pints and usually quicker than you or me ! Anyway this is digressing from the issue, still no to the hotpots Edited February 7, 2013 by ramragon

ramragon
I can just imagine the scenario now as the hotpots take to the stage for their 4th year in a row, their legion of chippy tea adoring fans cheering them on. They announce their arrival on stage striding out of the mist to a big screen backdrop of your face urging their minions to track down the hater and exact a black pudding related vengance on him. On your own mate ! Edited February 8, 2013 by ramragon
Flaminglippy
I have a confession to make. I actually bought their album. It was before I heard them obviously and only managed to listen to 2 songs. I'm scared to throw it out now though incase the binbag splits and all the neighbours see it. Maybe I could wrap it in a porn mag so it would be less embarrassing? Even Michael Barrymore hates them. Remember his catchphrase on that gameshow?? 'What is a hotpot not? A good pot!'. He hated them so much he made reference to it 6 or 7 times during every episode.

thurlow84
3 new songs in the hotpots set list this year, 3 re-entrys, and a new costume for the pirate and the puppet and plenty more of the same shite we all know and love. With an announcement of that calibre kc organisiers are going to have no choice but to book the hotpots for the 4th year running

thurlow84
I refuse to bow down to peer presure and say no to the hotpots !!! I refuse to say no to anyone. If the organisers feel fit to book someone i dont like then i will not start a thread against that act, i will mearly use the time to drink, enjoy the atmosphere, catch one of the other acts playing at the time or just take a nap. I WILL NOT SAY NO I WILL INSTEAD SAY YES TO KENDAL CALLING!!!!
LOCHLAND5
We all say yes to kendal calling, but come Sunday afternoon I want to be in the arena watching decent bands enjoying my last few hours of what is always the highlight of the summer for me. Why should we year after year grit our teeth along with a good majority who are getting bored with chippy tea ? We pay our money , we spend it at the bar , I support the festival whole heartidly on what ever attractions they provide , I just think a year off would be good, or we could compromise and stick em in the comedy tent. Taking a nap isn't an option for me as I don't camp. Starting a topic about what you don't want isn't a crime freedom of speech and all that, positives and negatives ! It's not a personal attack on the members of the band I would buy em a pint but I couldn't tell the I like there music ! Still a no from me ......... thurlow84
Can you really call less ten people who have agreed with the thread so far, the good majority of a fesitival with over 10,000 attending? Im not against freedom of speech at all, i encourage it. Its just i personnally would rather use my time highlighting the things which make the festival great and not concentrate on the singling out acts that have clearly gone down well in the past (an act that had to be moved to the main stage because the tent they were in the year before wasnt big enough to get everyone in who wanted to see them and an act who frank turner proclaimed to be his new favorite band after following them in 2011)
LOCHLAND5
Wow ........... If you go back to the beginning of this topic and read it all again it's about a few guys with the same opinion but we are taking the piss , we have been doing this for 2 years on Lots of subjects , maybe our humour is as shite as the hotpots ! I ain't getting into a pissing comp with you fella you either not reading the posts or being badly advised by some one ! Happy days!

thurlow84
Im a 'not fussed' man this year. Ive enjoyed the hotpots set in the past and if they play this year id see who they were up against before deciding if to see them or not. But lets say i am a yes man because thats more fun Lochland there no pissing comp taking place, its not my style. I get the tongue in cheek nature of the thread, my replies were in the same vain. Just from a different view point
