Headed along to this this weekend for my brother in law to be's stag do, Long time festival attender but tend to head towards festivals that cater more to the heavier sides of music (still a fan off all types however), still quite looking forward to this, hoping to find some new great live acts due to not being so familiar with most of those playing. How is it prices wise? Will be bringing along my own beers but in this weather they'll no doubt be gone in no time, Guessing its probably around £3-£4.50 a drink? Gonna be good, see you all there, say hey to the confused looking metaller walking about if you spot me!

I have seen people/ bags being searched going in in the past. Don't bring any glass.

I'm not underage but I imagine if they find alcohol on you (age 17 with no ID) then it won't be going into the festival with you

If you have alcohol in your tent then you can take it into the festival (NO GLASS!) but I also guess that if you're underage you will have a different coloured wristband so if you're spotted in the festival with alcohol it will be confiscated. And without an over-18 wristband you will not be able to buy alcoholic drinks at the bars

Enjoy it! PSB will be amazing...

Alright, thanks for the info! The wristband thing is a good point. But then i could just wear a long sleeve shirt.

How intensive are the bag searches? Because I'll probably just put it in my tent bag or something. If not I'll have to resort to getting someone to purchase it for me....... *sighs*.

You will probably need to show your wristband at the bar to get served so there won’t be any option to hide it. Wandering around you could take your chances but once you have been caught I imagine security will keep an eye out for you/ your group of friends.

Nothing worse at festivals than drunk teenagers who can’t handle their alcohol and are more interested in knobbing about then enjoying by the music/ festival/ atmosphere… That said, I hope you have an amazing time with your mates and I’ll buy you a pint of proper ale!

Bag searches won’t be exactly invasive but alcohol tends to weigh a fair bit so generally easy to find!

terrific two days! Atmosphere was perfect - everyone very chilled out and friendly.

I missed PSB!! :( Was watching the computers in the Barn, they were excellent but PSB have received rave reviews from just about everyone. Gutted!

Spiritualized were good, but you're right their song choice was slacking. Come Together and Electricity were good. Gaz Coombes a highlight too for me, along with The Horrors and Stevie Ray Latham.

All my pre-empted problems were not an issue, they gave me an adult wristband! Very organised place too it seemed. Food prices were astonishingly reasonable.. Awesome two days.
