End of the Road Festival 2013: David Byrne & St. Vincent confirmed as third headliner in today's twenty-band announcement

David Byrne & St. Vincent are today added to a stellar 2013 EOTR line up that includes previously announced headliners Belle and Sebastian and Sigur Rós.

The musician, artist, author, former Talking Head and all round renaissance man David Byrne will travel to the End of the Road Festival at the tail end of summer with recent collaborator, the multi-instrumentalist and award winning St. Vincent, where they will together take the final headline slot.

Other new artists confirmed in this lineup announcement are: Bo Ningen, Efterklang, Golden Fable, Diana Jones, Evening Hymns, Laish, Jens Lekman, Marika Hackman, Heartless Bastards, Merchandise, Money, PINS, Polica, Matthew E White, Mark Mulcahy, Caitlin Rose, Savages, Teleman, Widowspeak and Wolf Alice.

looking good so far. Less than half of the full band schedule announced so plenty to go as well. What do you reckon we've got? 1 Garden Stage headliner (Jen Lekman?) and 1 sub-headliner on the Woods (Frightened Rabbit)?

Bo Ningen are an amazing live band by the way, glad they've got them back for a second year. Shove them on as a big top headliner.

Having listened to every band in this announcement I am very happy with the way this line up is shaping up.

How great are Golden Fable and Heartless Bastards?

And I'd forgotten how great Jen Lekman is, despite loving him at ATP about five years ago.

Bring.It. On.

Having not heard a note by most of them I am very happy too!

Probably for the 1st time since my first EOTR I am sold on the headliners alone. Never seen B & S, thought Sigur Ros were magnificent at Latitude and have been dreaming about seeing that David Byrne/St Vincent show. Joyous stuff.
