Did you purposely ignore his suggestion of living in outer London or do you struggle with reading ?

EDIT: How about Reading ? :P

Here you go...

Isn't that under the cap ?

Not putting any effort at all in here.... I bet if I did I can find even closer options...

We will have to just disagree then...

Like I said I certainly don't doubt the personal issues families will face but communities eb and flow and where you will find groups of people communities will find their level.

You pick a nuclear bomb scene... The reality will be a lot less to the "community"...

No you can't keep focused on my points here...

People said it will destroy community spirit and no one has shown a decent argument showing how it will unless you think the people who will replace these people are some how lesser when it comes to community.

And secondly I have shown that you don't have to move all the way to Liverpool to keep near your roots. I live around 40 miles away from where my "roots" are but I still see my family ffs...

Well it entirely depends on what you mean by outer London....

To me it means within easy traveling distance. Loads of WORKING people live in Reading and travel into London. As they do from lots of towns around London.

You want to give a cast iron privilege position to people on benefits to have something others can't afford. I am sure lots of people would prefer to live in Zone 1 / 2 London but find themselves priced out.

When the fuck did I do that ??

For example... and other comments the same...

If you want a proper conversation about this its about the personal impacts on the them and not the "community spirit", having to move to the north or any other bullshit like that..

How did you come to that conclusion ? Maybe because you read something and just run with it without any sort of control :P

Well I do volunteer work at the local community centre which is run by our church and I do look at for my Neighbours. Your not the only one been left holding the kids recently while your wife goes to A&E at night with a Neighbour :P I care about what goes on in the community and I have recently been involved at stopping a development no one wants around here. I am also probably going to become a school governor in years to come. But that isn't concrete....

BUt the idea none of that would be done by someone else if I left is just laughable...

When did I say I don't care about the "community"... I think it depends on what you actually mean by community... If you want to localise it to my neighbours then you are talking falsely...

Short term of course, if you clicked your finger and bang 80% of people disappeared its going to be very quite....... Within months though new people would be here and thing will nit back together... They always do...

I don't much disagree about doing what we can to make the millionaires contribute more.
but just the millionaires tho, isn't it Barry?

You proudly boast about you're in the top 10%$ of earners, but you don't believe that you should pay more into the system, only those millionaires.

As I keep pointing out, it's not just the millionaires who need to pay more in taxes.

These people will leave with their lives and their possessions....

I find your attempt to manipulate the conversation more than a bit disrespectful to the people who lost loved ones in that disaster. Get out of the sewer!

If my wife went it would be a personal disaster for me....

But her company would move on, people would replace her community work and the world would tick on by...

By and large, we are interchangeable... Who has ever died which made us worse and wasn't replaceable ? No one....

The problem is high rents...

Councils can't keep paying out for people to live in Zone 1 London.... Its like me wanting to liver off Times Square in New York with no job or income. Its just not sensible.

So you either bring rents down or you limit the amount of money going into the pockets of these landlords from the state and let the market find its own level.

Suggestions of rent control etc are sensible. Nothing much else in here is sensible so far.
