Seems to be a lot more spam being posted in the early hours of morning.

Has something changed or failed lately?

i think it's just the case of there being a lot more spammers about at the mo. I've just checked the anti-spam service that the registration system uses, and it's still saying it's working (it does stop working for some reason now and then).

Things would be far worse without that anti-spam feature.
