quick funny story .....went up to farm a few years back and they had just started building the fence of death ..had a chat with one of the blokes and was joking about how to break in [ you cant ] any way me and the wife thought it would be funny to stash some beer so we hid some in the little ditch right near where gate A near the bus station thinking it would be funny to pick it up during the festi ....funny the things you do ..

any way went off to cheddar had a great time and a few weeks later the festis open we go to get our beer dragging some mates just to show off AND .................................its now behind a another fence some thing to do with the JP stage if i remember right ................ah well

in 2011 the fence was spotted by someone who lives in Pilton 9 th of May and they were able to post some images so you could flip though them and you can see various beer tents go up even before the fence is complete so there is a lot of activity.
I normally check up with the WBC set up crew just to get a first hand report as to the condition of the ground { nine times out of ten its not great }
The bars require all sorts of pumping and cooling equipment which has to be in place before any tankers arrive { the smaller bars still use the smaller kegs due to access restrictions }

They have got quicker in recent years with the fence, so I'd take a guess at seeing more action around the beginning of may.

More people will be on site from about April doing site maintenance (this week they have been spreading muck on the fields :P ) and stuff will get delivered.

Tents start arriving about 3/4 weeks before it opens to punters and there seems to be constant deliveries of loo's from about the 1st of june onwards :D

I'm living 50/50 in pilton atm so I will let you know if I see anything more exciting!
