viberunner
What if you're so mullered you're crawling around in irregular circles unaware of your environment? How long then?
ramragon
5 minutes, you won't remember what time you set off, or arrived back at the tent. We'll round it to 5 minutes for ease !
blue6field
I take it you can get back to the car as often as you want to resupply/charge phones etc, this is one of the reasons for paying for emperors fields, but remember reading something yesterday on the official site about requesting passouts in advance?? ramragon
The emperors was separated from the carpark by a thin tarmac road, because you were past the wristband checkpoint you were able to travel to your car and back whenever you wanted. No turnstiles or anything. Just walk over the road ! We still don't know where emperors will be this year or what the camping layouts will be like as they were changed last minute last year due to the planned field flooding. I'm sure wherever it is will have the usual set up
thegirlwhowantedtobegod
Not more than around 400 yards, grounds fairly flat unless your getting dropped off by taxi or bus in which case youve gotta cart your stuff up a hill !
andy85
this all seems very civilised!
Flaminglippy
Excellent! Might leave the folding wheel barrow at home then. Camping close to parking, 5 mins walk to the stages... this all seems very civilised!
Jacko450
Its nowhere near as much hard work as most other festivals! Queues at the bars are generally nominal, stages are very close together. Just realised exactly 2 weeks today I'll be there, pitched and starting on the tinnies. Schweet!

Pooly JP
Anyone got any experience with the Bell tents, we've booked one but i'm not sure if we need Thursday entry tickets or if they'd be included as tent will be set up anyway? I'd imagine they'd still say we need them but i can't seem to get any reply from the emails i've sent.
viberunner
I'm having problems getting through to them about tickets too. Slightly worrying and everything...
kevd108
Just a quick question not been before and drivin from Manchester. The site says come off M6 AT J39 which takes you through Shap on the A6, Isn't it quicker to come off the M6 at J40 or is that closed to festival traffic. ramragon
You'll find they take a while to respond due to the amount of mail they get on the run up to the festival. They'll get back to you eventually. If its an easy question then try asking them a question on a facebook post, they tend to respond quicker on there

duds
Hi 1st time at emperors this year we are going on the thurs, is there a bar like they have in general camping ? And if not do they let you go through?
ramragon
No bar in the emperors but you can walk through to the one in general camping easily enough, there will be a few food stalls and the general shop next to the bar as well I would guess. Couple of minutes stroll from emperors to the bar
duds
Ah that's great thanks, Im guessing the village green wont be open so wasnt sure if we would be able to get through :-)
ramragon
There's a path round the side from the emperors / campervan and luxury in to the general area where the bar is

Jacko450
What are peoples thoughts on this... Last year we arrived on thurs early doors and queued about an hour to get in. While in the queue we had to keep stopping then picking up our very heavy bags again, so this year I was thinking of just queueing with my tent and beer then setting up and going back for my bag? Surely this wont be an issue? Only problem maybe that they need to search my bag when I go in second time even with my wristband.
