midnighttuck
It seems it's a choice of paying £10 on the gate or paying £7 (inc. booking fees) for a printable ticket in advance from ticketarena (http://www.ticketarena.co.uk/events/Kendal-Calling-1/). As far as i could see all the other ticket websites only offered to send out tickets with around £5 postage on top of ticket price and booking fees. Pooly JP
When i was getting my Thursday tickets the only one that offered printable ticket was ticket arena. All the others wanted between £3 and £7 to post them out.
gf1874
Does the Glow Dance Tent usually run later than the other stages? British Sea Power are one of my must-sees, but would like to see Fake Blood too and they both appear to be closing their stage.
midnighttuck
just read this on their facebook page We have increased spend on toilets (biggest festival to have entire campsite serviced by pootopia), camping (16 acres of extra space this year), artist spend, larger kids area with loads of improvements plus loads more going on for families and lots of improvements across site but the capacity has stayed exactly the same as last year and we are only £115 for 3 days full of music until 3am every single night, not bad compared to a lot of festivals we think especially for our line-up with 300+ artists across 10+ stages
ramragon
After last years toilet nightmare there's no way they'll want any hassle from toilets this year as well.

Derv
Afternoon all, First time at Kendal Calling - and a first post on here. Are you allowed to go back and forth to your car? I like to go back to my car to charge my phone and keep some bits in the car and go get them when I need them. On the FAQs it says "I’m sorry but as with most festivals we operate a no pass out system. Please bring everything you need for the weekend. You have a General Store selling essentials, a cash machine onsite, and plenty of food traders and bars so you will never go hungry or thirsty! If you have booked accomodation out of the festival then please call in to the box office for a passout!" So is it once your onto the site, that's it? Or is it that you just can't go out in your car? Need to know whether to pack lighter! Thanks in advance!
ramragon
You'll be fine going back and forward to your car, they don't want people driving off site then coming back on.

Raoh28
Hi, we've had a mare with organising this trip to Kendal, mainly the people organising it can't read, can you tell me what the camping is like for families not in the emperors field? I've only ever been t large festivals, is there a quiet camping area outside of the emperors? Also can you pitch a tent next to your campervan in that field? Thanks Edited July 17, 2013 by Raoh28
ramragon
Hello, general camping has quieter areas for families as well as louder areas, when the tickets initially went on sale there was mention of stewards being available to direct you to the area that best suited your needs. Not everyone with families would have opted to buy the emperors tickets so theres bound to be a community of families in a field. As a rule the quieter areas will be away from the arena enterances, still only a few minutes walk to get in though. As for pitching a tent next to the caravan, ive seen it done but I cant imagine its allowed that much, they allow pitches sizes of 7 by 7 for each caravan/car and they work out how many they can fit in the field and release that amount of tickets for the public, if tents start to be pitched in the campervan field the space will run out quickly. If its a small 1 or 2 man tent you might be able to sneak it on without people kicking off, if its a mansion sized one id think twice ! midnighttuck
when do we find out the time schedule for the bands on each day to check for conflicts so we can battle/argue which bands to miss and see with the missus? Or do they keep it tight lipped to make sure you have to buy a program book on site? Edited July 17, 2013 by midnighttuck
ramragon
Like Mick says, check out ticketline. Sure you don't even have to ring them to check the progress of the order, just postcode and some debit card info

Pooly JP
Last year we received ours with the normal tickets.....in 2011 we had to collect them from the box office at the entrance to Emperors Field (although that entrance is not used now). I'd chase Ticketline (if that's where you bought them).
ramragon
If you've booked deer lodge tickets I would guess that you'll automatically get the emperors band when you show them the bell tent ticket. The bell tents are pre set up inthe field so iits not like a normal punter who turns up and either pays for the premium field or not. If its the same as last year you'll have access to the emperors facilities cos the fields are next to eachother. I wouldnt stress the lack of emperors tickets because they'll know they come with the deer lodge premium
Emandjay
Got early bird normal tickets which we recieved before Christmas but we booked a bell tent which includes the Emperors passes and there is still no sign. Because i've booked through the deer lodge on website will i need to get in touch with someone from Kendall about them? No idea of the avtual ticket provider theyve used for them.
