How to come from Chelmsford to London?

Hey(:

My friend and me, we`re from Germany, are going to be next year in London. We heared from this festival and we want to go there. But we don`t want to slep there.. what means, that we want to go after the last band back to London. And I know that it will be late. Are there still busses running? And is the festival far from the city ,where the station is?

Would you rather take the day ticket or a ticket for the whole weekend?- Because we`re not sure..

Linda.(:

There are trains that run from Chelmsford to London Stratford and London Liverpool Street (Either direct, or changing trains at Shenfield).

You need to get a shuttle bus from Chelmsford station to the festival as it's a bit too far to walk, but they have plenty running and I'm fairly sure the last trains are quite late as well. We usually get the train around midnight.

Okay.Thanks.(:

So it`s no problem to go back to London.

And..what about the shuttle bus.I have to book the bus? Where can I do it and is it expensive?

So you been there befor- What are your experience with this festival?

I`m 18 and my friend is 16.. Will we have problems with coming in?

A coach would be for longer journeys like London to the festival. I don't know if any companies are doing those this year, but I imagine they will be weekend ones (arrive on Friday, leave on Monday), so not much use if you want to go back to London every night.

The shuttlebus is just for the short journey from Chelmsford to the festival, and you just queue up for it when you come out of the station. It was £5 for a return ticket last time I went a few years ago, not sure if it's gone up in price since.

hi, I have the same problem.

I tried to check trains from Chelmsford to London but the last one seems to be at 11.25 pm, I'm afraid I won't make it from the festival to the Chelmsford railway station and I don't want to leave before the bands finish!

But I've also seen that all accomodations in Chelmsford are full, so I guess that's my only option (I'm coming from Italy and it would be easier not to camp).

The trains ignore the timetable on V weekend, there are trains running well into the night from Chelsmford to London over V weekend , the trains start at Chelmsford - there is no need to rush to the bus, we have meandered caught the shuttle bus to the station and there are still loads of trains running - no problem at all
