I saw Texas in a town event a while ago, maybe 2003, and cant remember too much about them but the crowd seemed to like them, just not my type. Could you see them opening the main stage one day? maybe opposite day to James

I'm thinking will.i.am will be added to the Beyoncé day. He's got enough records for an early-afternoon-length slot of his own, he could perform 'Hall of Fame' with The Script and he's also performed on stage with Jessie J before.

But just a hunch.

Haven't checked R & L line up so don't shout me down on this one, but what about pigeon detectives? Not majorly big anymore for a 1st announcement and offer a few good sing a longs for a V crowd. Will.I.Am is a great shout as well, can't stand the bloke but can actually see him there

Both are good shouts, Will.I.Am is a big announcement but Wireless didnt release his name in their first announcement so maybe. It would be a great announcement, maybe 4th on main stage before Jessie J and the Script, I think it would be great

With less than a week to go beofre the announcement, lets get this up and kicking again. Who do we think is going to be announced, or who do we hope will?

Zac Quinn made me think maybe Will.I.Am could be in with a shout, so I'll go with Will.I.Am, Dizzee Rascal, Nina Nesbitt, Lawson, Lucy Spraggen, Frank Ocean, Kesha, . Then Undercover Acts. I think The Original Rudeboys might be there as they supported The Script on their tour according to my friend who went to see them.

Long shot - but I'm keeping everything crossed for Vampire Weekend. New album, free that weekend, not at R & L (yet) but for some reason I just can't see V booking them....

Yeah, same as My Bloody Valentine, They arent at R&L yet but i dont see V booking them, I cant see where they would fit in but T in the Park has them so it could happen.

Unfortunatly I think Union J will be announced, probs undercover stage but I think its a good shout as they have just released a single and are quite poppy, suitable for V

On the other hand, Radio 1 have been giving Vampire Weekend a lot of air play of late, so at least the organisers will have heard of them.

I don't think Ocean will be announced this late.

I think;

Ke$ha (seems to be on the festival market, although I think she would have been big enough to be a day one announcement)

Will.i.am (really stuck on this one, I'd say it's likely, but I think he would have been announced earlier again, although I'd love him to be there, as I'd complete my game of Voice coach bingo)

Nina Nesbitt (perfect fit tbh, she'd be brilliant mid afternoon)

Lawson (Were there last year, were actually really good, I believe the whole set is actually on YouTube somewhere)

Union J (tbh I'd be very happy with this booking, I really liked them on XF and love Carry You )

The Wanted (somehow not there yet despite being seen in the original video)

Loveable Rogues (again seems to fit in, maybe first act on Saturday in arena)

Vampire Weekend (I can actually see V booking them)

Razorlight (They are quite good, they don't seem to have much popularity ATM as much as when they played last, could be a possibility)

Some I could see being there but unlikely;

Ne-Yo (he doesn't seem to do festivals much, but again would be a perfect fit)

B.O.B (unsure about this one tbh)

Wiz Khalifa (not so much a big name here, but didn't he play quite low at Wireless?)

5ive, Blue, Atomic Kitten, B*witched, Liberty X (with how popular Big Reunion was I can see one of these being booked, Liberty X have announced that they are splitting after the tour in December so I doubt them, B*Witched have announced new music and released their single which is actually really good surprisingly, Atomic Kitten have Kerry and there is usually a Showbiz favourite every year, Andre, Cheryl, Beth Ditto etc so maybe, 5ive have announced a tour, Blue have announced a tour too and have got an album that needs plugging, out of all of them I'd say Blue or B*Witched)

Snoop Lion (Seems to be getting announced quite low on some festivals, possibility even if he's headlining bestival)

Cee Lo Green (Would love this one, however unlikely it is)

Dodgy (did quite well last year, might do it)

Out of the listed above this post, would it be bad of me to want bananarama

Id say maybe half the acts you put in the first section, but id probably like to see them all. Ke$ha and Will.I.Am are the bigger names, and all though I could see them being in a first announcement they would be good for a second announcement.

From the second section, I would HATE to see any of the Big Reunion people. I dobt Snoop Lion but maybe, CeeLo Green and Ne-Yo I couldnt see unfortunatly. I think most of the people to be announced will be al other festivals as well with a few exclusives maybe.

HAIM and Azelia Banks were rumoured to be at V but I cant see that happening because they are at R&L but never say never.

Yeah, I think them two are bigger than ANY of last years 2nd announcements (Gossip, Wretch 32, Cover Drive, Angel, The Feeling, Cher Lloyd, Rita Ora, Stooshe etc)

The second list is very unlikely, although I can't say I would say no to screaming C'est La Vie in a field...

Haim and Azealia seem slim now (good at the last one )

True True, but Will.I.Am isnt as big name as Black Eyed Peas, he could really only do a DJ set or only sing half the songs becuase on the new album most of the good songs are collabs unless they had guest singers for the songs. I saw him DJ when i saw black eyed peas and he was good but I think a proper DJ/Producer like David Guetta or Calvin Harris would be better than Will.

Ke$ha on the other hand would be a great addition, i would probably say 4music stage but she isnt big enough to headline it I dont think. She could do the Arena on Beyonce day maybe. Will.I.Am could headline a stage but there again it depends what he had to offer...unless he brough the Peas back together ;D

I remember will.i.am's set at the Hackney Weekend last year - it was very visual, the first song was done in astronaut masks if I recall correctly. He also brought Eva Simons on to sing 'This is Love' with him and Tyler James (off of last year's The Voice) sang another song where the original singer was absent.

Obviously nobody would expect Bieber or Britney to turn up 'as a surprise' but there's no reason he couldn't perform those songs playing back the original audio of the singers, like a lot of artists do when performing songs they've collaborated with other singers on.

Yeah, but it would be nearly every chorus of nearly every song that Will would be stood there or hyping the crowd up. Would be great to see though. I think with V having Danny and Jessie from the voice theres a chance WIll could be there as well, maybe do songs with both of them. I doubt Tom jones would be back
