kev1664
Weezer @ leeds 2010 was by far and away the best set I've ever seen, best front man performance I have ever seen. How I would love to relive it again. There have been other good sets but not comparable to that. Best by year RATM 2008 Them crocked vultures 2009 Weezer 2010 Pulp 2011 Foo Fighters 2012 Other notables Pulled apart by horses 2009 Manchester Orchestra 2009 Pendulum 2008 Manic Street Preachers 2008 My Chemical Romance 2011 Muse 2011 Death From Above 1979 2011 Rival Schools 2011 Feeder 2012 The cure 2012 Bullet For My Valentine 2012 Billy Talent 2012 Turbonegro 2012 (although they were much better at download). Best run of 3 was probably dizzie>libertines>arcade fire 2010 in fact make that 4 wit the cribs before dizzie. kev1664
I've often thought it would be great to have a massive band open each day or a day, they would probably draw a lot more people to the arena early on than what would be normally, it would earn them quite a bit more cash through sales in the arena. Obviously I understand that it's probably beyond the budget to book acts like that early on, but it's different, and food for thought, and certainly got a fair few people in early. VCK
I've seen some great performances at Reading and Leeds over the years, but Metallica, RATM and the Manics in 2008, and Radiohead in 2009 stand head and shoulders above the other bands I've watched. dancelittleliar
Did you see Radiohead at Reading or Leeds VCK? Theres a lot to choose from, but Weezer in '10 was something else as others have said here. Head and shoulders above the rest. Remember when Rivers was doing kick ups before he came to the mic? evilduck
Manic Street Preachers 08, Weezer 10, Arcade Fire 10, Radiohead 09 are all ones that instantly come to mind. The Hives and The Cure last year were amazing as well, and MCR in 11. Edited March 14, 2013 by evilduck

Englishdragon
Rage against the machine 2008 Weezer 2010 Queens of the stoneage 2005 - The 8 minute version of no-one knows is still one of my favourite live songs of all time Blink 182 2003 Municiple waste 1007 - Im on the video thats on youtube of the circle pit and during the last song the lead sing shouted us from accross to pit to help us out. he chucked something into the crowd to stand on, about 5 of my mates lifted him onto it and help him up on this whilst the entire crowd screamed "municipal waste are gonna fuck you up". Sometimes the smaller gigs are the best The Dwarves 2007 - I still have the image of he who cannot be named sat on top of the speakers, naked, pretending to w*nk off to the crowd. Pendulum 2008 - So much better than their headline set Iron Maiden 2005 Edited March 14, 2013 by Englishdragon
