evilduck
Ah you got all the good rotations, except I'd have preferred Dead Star to Map (I think that's what it was rotated with?). I went to the two gigs either side of that one, so I got the bad rotations both times (except Dead Star, and I actually got both of New Born and Stockholm because they didn't rotate it one night, which was nice). Gucci Piggy
I thought Hysteria was one of their most popular tunes (and one of the better mainstream ones) so why don't they play that either? I hope on the next tour, they just keep Madness, Panic Station and Survival off the new album, and Uprising and MK Ultra off Resistance. Bar Neutrom Star Collision, my least favourite Muse songs are Undisclosed Desires and Guiding Light, and both were played! Go back to what you were doing before Matt! Gucci Piggy
I went to both Emirates gigs because I knew I would get annoyed if they played an awesome song and I missed it. I preferred Dead Star at Shepherds Bush because the audience was mental. No-one around me at Emirates seemed to know what it was.
jonodillieono
MOTP was being rotated with Bliss if I recall correctly at that stage in the tour
Matt42
this is just what i've heard.. Green Day - 2 and a half hours Eminem - 1 and a half. Biffy - 1 45 Don't shoot me, apparently NIN have requested a late as possible set and it has made biffy's shorter (it was gonna be 2 hours). Matt42
If those set times are true I think we're looking at. Green Day start at 21:00 - 23:30 Eminem start at 22:00 - 23:30 Biffy Start at 21:45 - 23:30 So normally it's about 30 mins/45 mins between sets so. NIN end at 21:15 - probably on from 20:00 - 21:15. Matt42
Ooo, where from may I ask?
rawaudioinput
Yeah it does make sense; a bit of a shame that Biffy will only play for 1hr 45 though; that's shorter than their set at the O2 if I remember correctly. Clashfinder is updated:http:///s/reading2013/ Means I get to see pretty much all of Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats now; awesome.
Matt42
source is, a guy on twitter that I know in real life, who has worked on and off with festival republic, and someone that convinced me to come to reading in 2010. Supposedly has seen the programmes which are being printed right now. He no longer works for them however majority of his friends that he made from working there still keep in contact with him. But yeah the only reason I shared this weak source is because it sounds believable.
rawaudioinput
To be honest that's pretty believable on the whole. Do you reckon he could somehow get his hands on a programme so we could get the official times?

Com Truise
This is killing me, what's the word for having to end/go home before a specific time? And then pretend that word is in this sentence. Would it really hurt for them to extend their *word* an extra 30 minutes. Matt42
Arctic Monkeys packed 21 songs in their glastonbury hour and a half. And they had massive breaks between each song, biffy don't really do that do they? 1 Hour and 45 minutes is enough for biffy they will be able to pack loads into that! foolee
What time does it start getting dark in august? What I'm really asking is when will it get dark during NIN's set

Com Truise
Florence got similar times in 2012 and it was pitch black in the final half of her set. It's for the better.
Matt42
Personally I don't think it would make much difference to NINs set, because they're not gonna get a completely pitch black set for more than half of it, so why bother? and yeah 1 hour 45 is certainly enough for Biffy, although I'd be very happy with a nice round 2 hours. Com Truise
Longer biffy's set is, the brighter NIN's is. Edited July 30, 2013 by Com Truise
dentalplan
Don't shoot me but I've heard from a reliable source on twitter that Trent has asked that the sun goes down earlier so his set is in the dark...

Muppetmark
Kasabian, when on soccer am talking about HRC, said when asked about Bruce Springsteen set lengths said something along the lines of that's way too long people would get bored, an hour and a half is more than enough for any set. This is why they will never be a top band, and the reason they think people would get bored is because listening to them people would.... Also to add to the discussions over set lengths, nobody has mentioned that R&L are doing things differently now, it started last year with the re brand at the festival, but they are clearly changing their ways and in turn opening themselves up to more possibilities e.g the cure and Foos both being booked when it was know they would both like longer sets. Also biffy have talked about their LONGEST ever set. So it has all stemmed from there, if they are telling the truth then that means a 2hr minimum set. The Placid Casual
Ahh it got a great reception round me at the Emirates where I was stood right at the front. At the Etihad I was seated and realised absolutely no one knew it other than some people stood at the front.
