Too much Dance and Hip Hop on Nme?

The Dance Stage wouldn't be big enough to hold the crowds they're obviously expecting for those acts.

The organisers need to get a mix of old and new, and with the main stage full of acts towards the top who've been around for ages they've obviously gone newer on the R1 stage. That's obviously led to them going more in the dance/rap area as that's where the newer acts who can play those slots fit in.

yep, readings always had odd (shit) choices for NME headliners in the past, Alt J shouldnt be a shock. Loads will be hyped for Skrillex so thats fair enough, and Phoenix are massive elsewhere, so maybe they wouldn't play without headlining in some form. Good luck to them though, everyone that isnt a moron will be at Biffy :P

I like a few of A$AP's songs

However i think Frank Ocean or Kendrick Lamar would have been a much better booking. Yes A$AP is a very hyped young rapper atm but for me it just seems a bit random booking him

Anyone who doubts the size of Skrillex is a little crazy.... easily the biggest nme headliner we have this year and comparable to/bigger than a lot of headliners we have had in the past.
