Just bought this new mat and a little pillow to go with it. Getting rid of the big wobbly airbed to travel a bit lighter this year.

Been on an Outwell Dreamcatcher for the past few years, but the mattress has started deflating on me for the last two festivals, so hasn't made for the best sleep in the mornings.

Have been debating whether or not to replace it but the cost of something similarly comfy seems to have skyrocketed (like everything else) since I last bought it. However have just found this which seems a bit of a bargain if you have or know anyone with a Costco account - has got great reviews and is about £30 more everywhere else. Don't know the make, but seems like it's actually decent if you're looking for a 10cm SIM:

Looking forward to trying it out this week!

They are great! And you got a great deal there - we paid CONSIDERABLY more back in April for them.

We tried everything in GoOutdoors and didn't find anything that decent for side sleepers so started doing some watching of YT reviews of camping mats and Zempire seemed to be well regarded, also had never heard of the company before, but they do some very high quality tents and other stuff.

I have spent a couple of nights on one in the house since we bought them (Mrs kicked me into the spare room as I had a bad cough a few weeks back) and they are so comfy!

Only thing I would say is the self inflate takes an awful long time on the first couple of runs so worth leaving it inflated for a couple of days if you can before packing.

I wish I had a Costco card that’s a really good price. I’m always envious of the Zempire tents  when I’m camping,  they look really well made.

Cheers for the tip...hoping it'll be here by Wednesday, so will leave it to its thing after unpacking it. Nice to hear another good review...hopefully it means my back won't be in bits after 48 hours!

Yeah it's why we splashed out on them, we are spending 6 nights on site as we are working and trying for some comfort in between the shifts and late nights. Quite an upgrade over our old blow up mattresses that's for sure.

*edit* Amazon power bank deal not as good as it was so deleted. Sorry!

Went to buy it this morning - saw it was now full price again and thought doh!!

However.. a slightly different (looks pretty identical tbh) Anker 20,000mah power bank is on offer at 30% off at £26.99

As well as the silly sleeping bags, there's a bunch of other cheap camping accessories on sale on Thursday  and even a trolley that could leave you stranded in the queue!

I think I'm just about over sleeping on a thin slice of foam or an a bed of air which slowly deflates over the night.

Thinking about some kind of camping ped with a frame, but as the same time I bit worried about the weight. Any suggestions from anyone?

Thermarest luxurylite or a copy because they're great, but expensive

Get one of these with the thicker mat on top. You won’t regret it 😎. Also good storage underneath  https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/inflatable-camping-bed-base-camp-bed-air-70-cm-1-person/_/R-p-309887

I do not know of the accuracy of this post, but it would be delightful if it were true;

Taken from a post on LinkedIn.
Festival goers, please note.
One of the most depressing images of our modern profligacy is the waste strewn field on the Monday morning after a big music festival (250,000 tents pa going to landfill each summer in the UK alone) so, thank you #Decathlon for bringing in a tent buy back scheme.
Under the scheme, customers have until 13 September to bring their eligible tents (10 major types) back to Decathlon UK stores for trade-in. They will receive a gift card amounting to the full amount they spent on the tent in the first instance, regardless of wear and tear. The tents will be refurbished, cleaned and resold via Decathlon’s ‘Second Life’ resale platform.
Festival goers please use!

Yeah it is - they did a whole thing last week with Jo Whiley - https://www.decathlon.co.uk/c/htc/no-tent-left-behind_b3be522a-a5f2-497e-a93f-f1a3682cdae1
