Dead throne
It's not just awful, it's completely mainstream dance/rnb based. Although NIN are still more likely to be doing that than Soni.

SOAD
On a random note I saw Hacktivist, Heaven's Basement and Arcane Roots in a row on Sunday... based on those performances if those three don't end up at least high up on main, within the next few years, at Download there is something very wrong with the world. Think all three could be likely for low main next year.
jammy2211
I don't see why Soni won't be back, if the mainland Europe ones are still going okay in places. Sucks for them they had problems the past few years but if they can book a strong line up then the past isn't really gonna hurt them - and they probably don't face much competition for bands like Slipknot, Metallica, Maiden, Sabbath etc if they are touring. Maybe they won't bother but the reason it did alright to begin with was cause it could book all the bands who would be seen a repeats at Download... pretty much back to being able to do that for a year now lol. Dead throne
But no one will buy tickets as they won't be trusted..what if it cancels again? Why would they (the organisers) spend money on an almost lost cause, when they can spend it on bands for the other soni festivals? Doesn't make sense to me
thegremlin_1999
Thing with soni, who are they going to book? If they book slipknot and metallica isn't that just the same as the last soni in the UK? Or Rammstein and Maiden which is the year before's... Talk about repeats... mrtourette
It's pointless getting into a Soni discussion with BlackCrow as he's so bliknkered. Just wait for it not to happen again.
Dead throne
What if any festival cancels, none of the festival goers lost any money in 2012, as they got their money back and 2013 was closer than you can imagine to going ahead, but they had their main headliner pull out at the very last second. Dead throne
To be fair, you may have seen Download forum did a poll for 2014 headliners and Metallica came pretty high. If Soni just copied last year's Download headliners it'd probably do quite well. But it's not really important as it won't happen. Soni won't happen. Black_Crow
People would trust Download and Reading with their money, not soni, as of what happened 2 years in a row!
Black_Crow
Aye they could just make it a one day festival with Metallica, Lamb Of God and BMTH, and it'd sell well

Dead throne
Nothing happened 2 years in a row, it got cancelled in 2012, it wasn't even announced in 2013. I don't see how people can feel hard done by.

thegremlin_1999
Slipknot/Metallica, ok, it will be 3 years ago but it's still THE EXACT SAME FUCKING HEADLINERS AS THE LAST TIME THEY ACTUALLY MANAGED TO GET IT TO SELL! So yeah, booking them would be JUST REPEATING THE LAST TIME!! Regardless of years ago... And how the fuck did the Killers just get mentioned??? It's supposed to be a ROCK festival and the Killers sure aint rock and fucking roll... I agree with whoever said it aint worth bothering to argue with Black_Crow because he's such a precious Soni Fanboy its untrue!
