Motley? could headline Friday or Sunday maybe

GnR would put up with another piss shower for the right money

Whitesnake always good mid-line up fodder

Big contemporary bands is the hard bit though, if they want to put the ticket proce up again for 2014, then they need to get a band of Foo's popularity on board

a lot of NIN fanboyism goin on in here, they could only headline a festival like download on the back of a their reunion, but by next year the novelty would have worn off, they're subbin R+L, and have done a couple of times, they subbed at sonisphere and they headlined 2nd stage at T in the Park, if they ever headlined download they wouldn't be a strong headliner, they would be a strong sub though

Thin Lizzy aren't doing it since Brian Downey decided not to tour any more. What's left of them is called the Black Star Riders and they have their own stuff. I presume they do the thin Lizzy stuff too.

Guns and Roses were excellent last year in Glasgow. Ok so they were late on but that just meant I had more beer before hand. Dunno if any UK festival would risk them nowadays as they all seem to have curfews that don't cater for diva hissy fits back stage.

The late bit I get, the shocking live bit I do not. Axl Rose has been on FINE form these past couple of years. His voice is sounding brilliant, he has off days, but so does every singer. People expecting a 51 year old to sound the same as he did in his early 20's are idiots. Plus the band are much tighter than the "classic" line up ever sounded.

This wasn't a rant at you by the way, just at the general opinion people seem to have without much to back it up. :P
