2010 was generally pretty ridiculous in front of the main stage in the middle, for Blink and QotSA. The big bend in the front barrier seemed to stop it for 2011 and 2012.

Hadouken! in 2010 was pretty bad too.

EDIT: And yeah, I wasn't it the front section for the Libertines in 2010, but I was right on the second barrier and from there it looked crazy.

I dont think the crushes at festivals are bad at all now since they started putting all the barriers up.

Its that people dont know how to behave and panic especially teenage girls. They try and get to the front and just panic when there getting a bit of force from behind.

During Paramore at Leeds 10, think the majority of us were there to be at the front for Blink & people kept pushing forward. Ended up about 100 of us falling over like dominoes, people fell on top of eachother everywhere. Could hear girls screaming in panic mode, had to get myself up then drag a few girls to their feet.

It got a bit silly during the change of between Black Keys and Foo's last year, but that's only because people decided to SIT DOWN ffs.

Getting out of Florence to see Feeder was a bit of a nightmare we should've seen coming. The crowd infront of me at Crystal Caslte collapsed, which was a bit of a wtf moment. Stupid people.

My worst two from Leeds were probably Green Day in '01, the crowd just kept collapsing near the front and I ended up on the floor, luckily someone dragged me up because there was no way I could've gotten up on my own, the only time I've been truly scared at a festival. And trying to get to Faith No More in '09, they'd blocked one of the ways to the main stage after the Prodigy crushes, which meant the people leaving the main ran headlong into the people flooding in to watch KOL.
