Worst crush at Reading/Leeds?

Worst was definitely The Black Keys at Leeds last year. Like someone else said it wasn't that there were any pits just way too many folk. Crowd collapsed around us a few times including me and my mate ending up at the bottom of one. That was scary!

We decided to watch The Foo Fighters from further back and it took us ages to get out from the front because so many people were trying to get in as well.

Too many people around my age (17) are more concerned with getting as close as possible than enjoying the band. You get people pushing past you to get closer when there clearly isn't any room as it is, which also causes horrendous crushes, I could hardly breathe at Kasabian and Foos last year, surrounded by trains of people trying to get closer to the barrier

I think the people on this forum have more gig experience than a lot of those who go to Reading and Leeds, for some of them it's their first ever experience of live music, or at least they're not seasoned so they don't have much etiquette when watching bands.

System of a Down 2003!!

That was one hell of a crowd. didn't help that we were in a drought and dust was swirling around the arena. I have been in the crowd at alot of the sets people have listed in this thread, but nothing crushed me more than System in 2003...

Loved it though!! apart from nearly suffocating underneath the crowd a few times

The crowd will be like The Prodigy in the sense there will be lots of people trying to get away.....afterward because they have all found a time machine and went back in time to get that hour and a half back that the arctic monkeys wasted of their lives.

Not Reading but I saw bombay bicycle club at koko last december, and was at the barrier. The crushes were pretty bad, but then getting out up two tiny staircases was awful! A guy threw up over the back of a few people and was completely gridlocked.

TDCC in 2010 was probably the worst crush i've been in at Reading. I was in the NME tent all of friday early afternoon waiting for them (what was i thinking) and i remember it just got gradually busier throughout the day. People were falling over before they even came on, by about 4 songs I was fed up of having to try and keep my balance and keep picking up the girl in front of me who nearly died about three times in 2 songs i had to move back.

Then again Muse in 2011 was a nightmare.
