jonny1987
Hi there As someone who has been to the V-Festival before but is looking to go to the Reading festival this year, I'd be grateful if people could help with a couple of basic questions; 1) How easy is it to move between the stages? The thing I liked about V was how you could easily walk 10 minutes to make regular trips between the other areas and the main stage to see the acts you wanted to, so I'm just seeing if you can do the same at Reading rather than having to restrict yourself to one stage all day? 2) Following a recent bereavement I'd most likely be going by myself so are there any particular camping areas where it's suitable for someone going to Reading alone? Thanks in advance Jonny
PDAD
Yeah, there is gonna be a bit of a redesign of the arena this year due to the extra stages but it has always been very easy to get from stage to stage as its all in the same area. The biggest trouble is getting through the crowds but that shouldn't be any more of a problem than at V. I am not sure about your second question i'm afraid. But it's a festival, loads of people will go alone and have a great time too. Last year, i spent one night with a group of complete strangers i stumbled upon. I don't know about any particular camping area to go to for this but wherever you are, you can quite easily have a good time.
kittycat100
Hey, I agree, its dead easy to move between stages, as long as you account for the crowds! There is often a camp loner thread on here (or possibly on the official forums, I get cionfused!) for folk who are on their own. I guess the choice of campsite really depends on what you want more than being on your own, but I guess the ones a bit further from the arena might be a bit quieter, possibly friendlier so you can meet people to keep an eye on your tent etc... evilduck
I can usually get from the NME tent to the front side of the main stage in about 5 mins with some good ducking and weaving, just get out ahead of the main crowd and it's not really a problem. I'd say go for the campsites towards the back such as brown and purple, as they tend to have the lazier, more laid back campers. We've camp adopted a few loners over the years so I shouldn't think you'll have any problems
Dynamix
Hi Im looking for event goers to take part in a short survey for my university dissertation. I really need your input. It only takes a few minuets. The more people who take part, the better the results will be. It's an interesting subject. Please follow the web link surveyhttps://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VirtualSteward I would really appreciate your help and pass the link onto people you know Thanks
