VCK
Playing Glasto and now Kendal Calling, so obviously they're active this summer, especially at UK Festivals. Is there no way they could be slotted in? Perhaps in between Fall Out Boy and The Lumineers on the Main Stage? Or subbing Skrillex or Phoenix in the tent? mrtourette
I don't think anyone has the answer to that, but it's unlikely Editors would end up playing 6th.
Matt42
A$AP Rocky is definitely subbing the NME, he's huge. I was actually surprised when I heard R&L had booked him, he's a big profile act! Edited April 11, 2013 by MrIdioteque
Gucci Piggy
Can't see a main stage slot for them. None of he 5th placed bands will be moving down. I suppose subbing Skrillex or Phoenix would be feasible, but then I wouldn't be able to see them so it doesn't really matter to me.
Duw13
Could they surprise everyone with a low spot, like The Hives did last year?
Muppetmark
public enemy were on at 2pm at sw4 festival last year on the Sunday so I think they could take a low slot
VCK
6th wouldn't be too low for Editors, they played 6th at Leeds in 2008 (albeit when they had to leave early for the support slot at R.E.M.'s gig in Manchester later that evening), and they're not as relevant as they were circa 2007. Surely if The View or The Futureheads can move to lower slots, Editors can.

Muppetmark
Their slot was fourth from top only reason they played lower was to get to REM as you said... they have moved down... they won't move down further... it's amazing how many peopke think the top 5 bands will be moving down... really dont see any of them moving... SOAD
i would argue that someone could perhaps move in between white lies and brand new on the saturday Edited April 11, 2013 by SOAD
Duw13
I could see Public Enemy going on just before Editors- that would make that day brilliant for me
Buko
I'm not gona get my hopes up, but then again The Hives played really low last year, if they played a similar slot I'd be over the moon
jump
I can see a slim chance of them headlining the hippity hoppity stage but I doubt they will play.
edgar
I'm hoping for Jurassic 5, personally. No idea what the chances are really though. Tobieski
The 1extra stage seems to be grime orientated rather than genuine hip hop

Buko
Public Enemy are way too big for the 1Xtra stage, there miles bigger than Wiley, Skepta etc.

pink_triangle
No they really wont... Brand New played Wembley and sold it out since they last played... and since then they sold out an academy/university tour based on no new material... they played 5th last time and are arguably bigger than they were in 09... would say they have the least chance of dropping out of the three 5th from top bands. sjseabass
I don't think any of the 3 are moving anywhere. However I'm not sure you can judge a bands placement on a bill purely because of venues they play. Some bands could have more hardcore fans than others, but in a festival your place on the bill is just as likely to be determined by casual fans who would never pay to see the band live. I would argue that the other 2 bands in the same position on the line up have had more airplay in the UK (admittedly the editors a few years ago) and could be better knownn to your average British music fan. Com Truise
Their size doesn't matter if they're a band who are willing to move down for another band, which they might be
