There are a couple of bits of info though.

Groove Armada on Spirit of '71 stage? I'm assuming DJ set.

The Vaccines, Willy Mason and Public Service Broadcasting on the William's Green stage. Though I think we were aware of that one already.

Or they just have no reason whatsoever to release it at any particular point, so might as well do whatever they want, which is to say: Sell the privilege of announcing it to someone else. Then the person who bought it was like "Well, we've got a gap here, let's do it then."

Likely scenario: Radio 1 get to announce it, but didn't want to do it yet because they're hyping their own festival first and foremost (Today and this weekend), leaving next week as the logical time for them to blast it out on the airwaves when the fuss from Big Weekend dies down.

Bet the rest of the line up we all crave so much is just laying around a desk somewhere under a pile of farming invoices or something 'Oh, there's the rest of the line up there, we were meant to stick that out weeks ago....'

BBC don't hand out much money for that kind of thing. Alternative:

EE are creating an app (joy) and they're not ready yet, that's my simple guess. They're spending money on advertising in general, deploying 4G at the fest and an app that everyone downloads will tie it all together.

Vaguely remember friends finding an app useful in 2009, and an app totally bombing in either '10 or '11 because it wasn't ready in time? My guess is it's evil EE...

Regarding the Vaccines on the Williams Green Stage, do people know whether that's on Fri/Sat/Sun or could this be a case of 'having more acts on the Wednesday/Thursday'?

Would be interested if it was the latter, but to be honest not enough of a fan to see them during the weekend.
