Would the Vaccines play in there on the Thursday? Seems like a mighty H&S risk if so, they've had far less popular acts play in there on the Thursday and it's been absolutely packed - I don't rate the Vaccines but didn't they recently sell out a date at the o2?

The Vaccines do seem like an awfully big band for the Thursday. their set on the Pyramid will surely get one of the biggest crowds of the weekend as it is so sticking them on the Thursday with no real clashes up against them seems like madness

Maximo Park did it? They were prob equivalent in size at the time...

With Arcadia on from 9pm. I would say Vaccines on Williams Green at same time would be doable.

I don't know if they were quite as big as The Vaccines are now but there isn't that much between it. I think Maximo Park subbed or were third from top on the Other Stage that year so they were definitely a big deal.

I remember trying to get near the tent for that and just giving up and going back to the tent. It was pretty insane. They had some kind of one way system to deal with it if I remember rightly?

Edit: Worth saying as well that Maximo Park were on in broad daylight. Putting something on like The Vaccines or Maximo Park when the sun's gone down would be silly IMO. The darkness would not help them manage any H&S problems.

Yeh it was a 1pm or 2pm start for Maximo - we got there 2 hours previous and it was rammo about 10 minutes after we got there.

I remember watching Maximo Park one year doing the Thursday vening slot, and Glasvegas another year. Yeah it was rammed but didnt seem that much of a problem, the crowd just spilled out of the tent towards the Other Stage. Not sure if thats going to be possible as much with Williams Green in the new location - didnt seem that much space outside the Queens Head last time in that location. And theres a lot more going on throughout the site on a Thursday evening than there used to be a few years back

Where is Williams Green now? I saw Maximo in the tent that was the Leftfield - no spill out to the Other Stage there - unless they had about 250,000 people there! Graffiti is a hell of a tune but...

I thought William's Green is going to be in the same place as the Queen's Head was when Maximo played it? The same location as the Left Field once was.

Unless there are going to be other 'decent size' bands on the Thursday too, in which case the crowd may be spread out a bit? Especially if there is other stuff going on in the evening too...

The crowd area for the William's Green stage doesn't look that big actually, so maybe it is a case of two slots over the weekend a la Jake Bugg. Which is a shame, would definitely be interested in one or two decent size acts on the Thursday

EDIT: William's Green Stage is pretty much where the Queen's Head Stage was. Remember seeing Two Door Cinema Club in that tent on the Thursday of 2010, year later they were on the Pyramid.

Robbie in small doses!? i'd take a full two hour set of him any day. makes me sad that he can realistically only headline now and so will therefor never play Glastonbury again. would absolutely love to see him
