i work Thursday afternoons 5-9 which is no doubt when the lineup will be announced so i'm gonna have to dash home and try to get up to date with the (hopefully) excitement on these forums

whilst i don't seem to be getting as frustrated and as impatient as other people are, i sure do hope it's worth the wait! obviously with THAT many stages / acts left to announce there's gonna be SOMETHING to take people's fancy - both looking forward and getting nervous about looking through all of those new acts and stages and trying to take it all in - but i hope these higher profile acts, on the Pyramid / Other etc, are half as good as some of the names that people have been throwing about

But then again, all of it landing on us a month before the fest aids me in believing that Glastonbury is here!

A venue in Gloucester is announcing a Glastonbury warm up on Thursday, it could just well be an act already announced but you never know could be someone not announced. I probably am just putting 2 and 2 together and making 5.

I thought I'd read that you get a booklet with the tickets with details of all the acts and stages.

There are people on this forum who have already got their tickets so have they not had an information booklet with everything in?!

I'm going to be on holiday the two weeks leading up to the festival so I was really hoping to have the line up to go over while I'm there.....

it at least, if anything, makes the newly announced acts (i they're any good) still exciting by the time the festival comes round. even though i'm still stoked for the acts already announced, i've discussed and listened to and mulled them over so much that i'm sickening myself of them. need something new to spark my interest

You don't receive anything additional with the tickets, you get a booklet with the running order etc as you walk through the gates and into the Festival.

There are bound to be a couple of already announced bands doubling up to fill some of the gaps in the schedule unfortunately - like The Strypes, The Staves, Django Django..

If the new acts are amazing it's going to feel worth it - If, as I suspect, they're all a bit average I'll wish they told us sooner rather than leaving it so long for hype to creep back into our lives.

whilst that's true, i'm sure they'll be taking lower placings on the lineup rather than Pyramid / Other / high profile slots. doubt they'd announce Django Django for the Park in the first announcement and then announce Django Django on the Pyramid for the second. people would be pissed

The delay is all about Hop Farm imo, there will have been some reshuffling in both the Glasto lineup and the touring plans of a few of the bands that will get booked. You can't just change all that over night. At the same time you can't announce a load of band then put someone at TBA at the top of a stage only for the deal to fall through and end up with egg on your face!
