Plan what? 10 minutes here or there is the difference between being able to get to see a band or not, remembering it takes about half an hour to transit between stages if you're in a group of mates. Until definite times are given, you're wasting your time. Do you need MORE than two weeks to plan the bands you want to see? That's how long you had last year and if you need that amount of time, you should see someone about it. I can understand the line-up chat if you were debating whether to pay your deposit balance or not, but you're not. It makes no difference to your life.

As to you, Trebor, or backwards Rob as I'll call you from now on, my temper is at a very low level. I'm smiling as I type this, as I was when I typed my previous comments. I'm not the one going around calling people pricks. As other people have commented, agreeing with me, we were reacting to someone calling Glastonbury ridiculous, when they have no idea of the situation the organisers have found themselves in.

I wasn't smug about anything, until this moment, when I saw your aggressive comment addressing my non-existent temper.

Can't wait for a Clashfinder - genuinely excited, but not one based on running order alone, as it's irrelevant.

Cheerio.

Maybe that's because you're on edge about something. Don't worry, mumma will be home soon :) Nothing irrelevant about knowing a running order. I wasn't complaining about it, I entered the debate telling someone to get off Glastonbury's back when they have NO idea I imagine what it takes to organise an event of this nature and scale. Megabowl was barking up the wrong tree when he had a go at me as he thought my issue was that I was furious that people wanted to know. I'm not, I'm intrigued and also quite amused at the degree that people want to make detailed plans without knowing all the details. What I was annoyed at is someone calling the organisers ridiculous and acting as if they had an entitlement. If you can show me on the ticket T+C's that it says the whole line-up will be released by a certain point, I'll slink off. Did you get a detailed synopsis of the plot when you bought your last cinema ticket? Didn't think so. If you don't like it, don't buy a ticket. End of. I wasn't getting irate at Megabowl at all.

Call me what you like, but I'd bet my house on me being less thick than you.

This whole thing about people wanting to make detailed plans... you're using it as a starting point for being 'funny'. I don't recall anyone insisting on making detailed plans, but then again I'm not reading the thread from start to finish.

Not to you no! :)

"I don't recall anyone insisting on making detailed plans."

People were referring to the need to make plans fairly frequently in the last few pages Rob, maybe you should read the whole thing, rather than just the posts that allow you to stagger off your high chair.

Maybe so you don't make ill-informed comments and make yourself look silly? You started the aggression here, man. This aggression will not stand.

I quoted you a good way into our little discourse. I'll make a correction: Maybe so you stop making ill-informed comments and make yourself look sillier.

P.S. Less thick was an acceptable phrase. You should check your grammar as well, because you've just hoisted yourself on your own petard.

I didn't say it wasn't an acceptable phrase, it's not the best example of superior intellect though is it? What's up with my grammar exactly?! As far as the quoting goes, you actually started the whole thing. I simply said a list of bands in order would be good. You quoted me and started ripping the piss. I won't take that lying down, but I'm happy to stop this if you are. I'll even take back the word "prick" if that helps

I'm a bit puzzled by the last few pages. I mean, what difference would it make if the day splits and running orders were announced a week or two before the festival or back in April?

How much "planning" do folk need to do? How long does it take to look at the Clashfinder and make a rough plan of who you are going to see?

I can understand folk moaning if the day splits and running orders weren't revealed until we get onto site, but as we all know that simply won't happen...
