Every festival they've played at that i've been too i've missed them so I hope they do show up! I quite like a few of their stuff!

I don't know where they would play though... I don't really know how big they are in terms of glastonbury size, reading and leeds seem to be alot more generous in where they place them!

Just a question......bear with me.

So we all got our tickets before the line up was announced, the Glastonbury announce the line up. What if when we got to the festival it was totally different, legally could they do that, it's not a case of mis selling as we all got tickets before the line up was released........?

Obviously wont happen but I was just mulling it over.

Ive not seen anything that suggests a ton of Stones fans rushed out to buy all the re-sale tickets, infact it seems like the opposite as they resale has lasted longer than I expected both time.

Why would they pay £200 and have to go to Glastonbury for 5 days just to see the Stones when they can pay half that to go see them at their own festival for a day in London?

don't think a lot of the bands on the 'original' lineup would be very happy about their names being used to advertise Glastonbury when not actually playing. obviously there can be a few minor differences - with that many bands stages, it must be hard to keep it all as originally planned, which is why it's kept so late to announce times/stages splits etc - but to change almost the entire lineup would be absurd and lead to a festivals worth of pissed off people

Didn't prince get angry about glastonbury selling tickets on the rumour of his appearance or something? Idk.

Didn't Neil say that it's common for at least one planned headliner to drop out ever year? Before the two others and additional one are finalised?

Just shows that you've got to be careful with constructing a lineup, looks like V are struggling with that at the moment if beyonce has actually pulled out.

the Prince thing wasn't really down to Eavis / the organisers though. i don't think they've ever mentioned having bagged Prince or even being in negotiations with him (i don't think?) - it was all down to the likes of efests where as soon as the rumour mill starts on headliners people shout out 'PRINCE / BOWIE / DAFT PUNK / ZEPPELIN' every single year. the Prince/ Beyonce debacle of '11 might've pissed him off, though...

and yeah spoken agreements have probably fallen through in the past, but it's very different the organisers being in a spoken agreement with an act and it falling through to say, them announcing the act on the lineup without having actually secured them and then the band not performing

what's happening with V at the moment? why might Beyonce pull out?
