Bestival are announcing their final headliner tonight so I can't see Glastonbury stepping on their toes.

They're playing the Other Stage on the Saturday. So I reckon 4th down, which is fairly high I guess, maybe not enough to suggest that an announcement is imminent though.

So Fatboy is Bestival's Friday headliner. We kinda know he's playing at Glasto (he always does; Silver Hayes using him as their photo on FB) so could this be the reason we're still waiting for a full Glasto line up? Probably not but there you go.

Can't help but think the majority of people who'd want to see them will be too tempted by seeing the Stones. That's my only reason for missing them anyway. Plus does anyone know what they're like without Sly? Obviously Sly is a mess these days but he was the driving force behind the band.

The Silver Hayes guy said that the new guy looks and sounds just like Sly. I agree, I'll miss them for The Stones but they're one of the only things on the bill that's made me consider being elsewhere. They would definitely be my escape if The Stones were stinking the place out, although recent footage suggests that's unlikely.

Found this from four years ago of the current Family Stone line-up. They sound great to me.

Not gonna sit and say Sly & the Family Stone (or The Family Stone) or whatever they get called these days aren't a BIG act etc but out of ALL the possible LIVE dance acts, BIG DJ's n everything in that field? Family Stone a headliner?? Personally as an avid dance music fan i would say that's pretty disappointing.

Wouldn't they seem better on the West Holts or something??

I also keep thinking The Chemical Brothers are gonna pop up with one of their DJ sets. Nobody has mentioned those dudes once have they?

Personally, I think they'd be much better on West Holts, just before Chic. My funk would be bursting out of every pore! But I also think it's good that the various stages have a bit of variety. And don't forget, each stage/area is booked by different people so it's not what Glasto have decided, it's what the guy running Silver Hayes wanted.

Why? There's no reason for them to need to announce it. We are ahead of schedule this year.
