Can we visit our mates in the campsite with a day ticket?

We were hoping to head back to our mate's tents after the bands for a few beers before getting off home - only got a day ticket. Is it possible at Download?

We're not planning on telling them we were coming to DL, as it's a surprise, so no. I just don't remember them checking wristbands last year?

They've always checked wristbands at Download because you have to pay for camping, so unless you get lucky I doubt they'll let you onto the campsites.

Yeah I know you have to pay, but I've been to Leeds lots and they never check, while I don't remember them checking last year at Download, but then I don't suppose you do remember if it's not an issue for you at the time...

Leeds is different because they don't charge separately for camping, whereas at Download they do, plus you have to go through the campsites at Leeds to get to the car parks anyway. You can always chance it, just don't be surprised if you get turned away.
