I asked Shangri La what night they are open and the fun start.... they replied with Wednesday! an extra day having fun!!!

Someone on the dj thread said they'd confirmed they were back. I also wouldn't completely rule out some type of Glade thing. Dave Seaman seems to think he's playing in The Glade Lounge.

Thursday was always Baggy Mondays at the Stonebridge but may have to go naughty corner this time round.

Never made it to the park late night as always been in east camper van field found everything we needed or maybe could not escape in naughty corner,in west this time so will be great to try something new,on wed or thurs within a mile or two (stumbling distance) never stumbled that far before outside of the fence without damage.only damage from glastonbury was my my eyeballs and stomach from laughing.thanks for all experiences on here,only our 3rd time so still learning

I'm working in shangri-la or the common or bloc 9 on thursday night, I think I am anyway I'd have to look at my rota , but it is open, I know I'm working sat night and missing the stones

if its all open 5 nights hopefully that will spread the crowds along with Arcadia moving

Arcadia moving + S/E corner having a full 5 nights open can only be a good thing IMO.

I think it will depend a lot on the weather before the festival - I think their opening in 2011 was delayed as they weren't able to set up on time, due to poor weather delaying them. I'm sure they are full of the same good intentions this year, I just wonder whether they've actually built in enough contingency this time around...

I just looked at the steward rota and we have full shifts on the wed but as you say it will depend on the weather I imagine, I'm working wed night as a sort of run through for the other nights

Just had this message from Shangri-La for clarification about when they are open

Well, its slightly open on Wednesday (Diner and Heavens Lounge on a low key tip), a bit more on Thurs (all having it between 8-11pm), and then full throttle from Friday onwards...

As the snake pit is now in 'heaven' will it be difficult to access? Didn't try to get into the clean section last time, no idea where the entrance was but are they genuinely selective?

because of the capacity they will have to limit the numbers of people into heaven anyway so yeah I imagine it might come across as being selective , hell ain't a bad place to be

What happened to the Drag strip that was in Trash City i think, as had excellent Thursday in there in 2009 if my memory serves me correctly .

Snakepit was banging last year from 8pm, one of my favourite nights last year as not so many punters. I think they have spread the naughty corner out across the festival this year to keep crowds spread.
