Hello, you'll love it, SGP is an amazing festival!

In terms of participating, have a glance through the programme when you arrive as some stuff is on at specific times/places, but like most festivals, best to just go with it and join in as and when you feel like it. Take some time to appreciate all the lovely little details that are in the arty stuff, especially the path by the lake if it is the same as before. There is so much!

Security was much improved last year from 2011. There are searches, they are strict with alcohol (limits to what you can bring). I can't advise on other things, but there must be ways as lots of "happy" folks around.

It is truly a playground paradise for grown ups. Enjoy :-)

Got to meet a load of people at glasto who were coming to TSG . So i got a ticket from e bay in a rush so i could join my new friends but just got my tickets and see it is named. Will this be a problem has it not my name ? I am poor at the mo so could not folk out 200 from the site i feel i may have make a mistake going to e-bay.

We're going for the first time this year. Does anyone know if the camper van field is outside the fence? If it is, how does that work with taking alcohol in? The FAQ says you can only take some in on your first entry, so does that mean we can only take beer in on the Thursday?

Bit of advice needed....

We're travelling down from the Northeast and wondered what time was best to arrive to get the tents and shizz set up... We don't want to be near the toilets etc... How busy is the campsite and is there enough space?

What's the situation? Anyone recommend a particular place to camp (or to not, come to think of it)?

Was supposed to be a big crew of us but only three of us are going.

This year was not all that for me , lacking in atmosphere and loads of stages empty. No guides on the door did not help, they said they had been stolen...why would you steal boxes of books?

I enjoyed myself a fair amount but don't think I'd ever consider paying for a ticket. I bimbled around quite a lot but I felt I experienced everything I'd enjoy except for a couple of acts I missed while on shift.

I was really unimpressed with the toilets. They were almost all constantly disgusting, particularly in the crew camping section. Most consistently horrible I've seen at any festival, and that includes Reading at its worst.

I had a great time, I have to say my least favourite thing was how the festival finished though.

After Goldie's set on Sunday that was it, from 4 days of solid dance music to instant silence. Far too much of an abrupt way to end.

I had a fantastic time, sorry to hear it was not great for some people.

Crew toilets were ridiculous - not cleaned on Sunday as the lorry couldn't get through the mud, they should have tried again later on. Thank goodness for the gap in the fence that I was moaning about last year.

I did think that Sunday night was a bit flat and empty. We turned up for Big Youth and thought he had cancelled as there was no crowd. We just took the opportunity to be at the front of the stage and people did start to join.

I met some lovely people and we had great neighbours. Saturday was amazing, looking back I can't believe how much we saw and did in just one day.

Overall I really enjoyed it and my first day back in the real world has been painful.

I had a great time!! I thought it was much better than last year. The loos could have been done with being emptied more, but I managed to find one good enough to use all the time and it was really only Sunday afternoon they were really horrible.

People left because of the rain?! Lightweights!! It didnt rain for long!

I danced loads on Sunday, it was excellent. After Goldie we went back to camp and had a wind down there before bed.

I thought it was a great festival, very friendly, including security!
