Zippo Stage (Second Stage) Headliner on Saturday?

Maiden asked that the second stage finished before they came on. Copping has also stated that even if that wasn't the case they couldn't get a second stage headliner that would be willing to go up against Maiden, which I don't really believe but he is just trying to not make Maiden look quite so diva-esque... Mind you at least they didn't bring their own stage as well!

So, bottom line, yes, Enter Shikari is the headliner, and yes, they finish at 8:35pm before Maiden start on the main

I'm pretty sure i read it was because they were filming a DVD a didn't want a band playing on the second stage that would interfere with the sound of the DVD. I may be wrong but I'm sure i read that.

As said if youre not a maiden fan I'd recommend seeing the hives, great live act and a lot of fun to watch, gutted they are clashing really

Yeah, I thought I had heard that somewhere as well a while back, but not sure where from... Guess it causes legal issues and stuff if when Maiden finish a song and the crowd quietens down a little and you can hear Enter Shikari booming in the background!

In all fairness they are good live, well, the last time I saw them was Reading 2002 when they were 5th on the main under Sum 41 so that was a while ago... But I saw them on Jules Holland much recently and they still looked good :)

I agree with you though, I thought that I was going to be one of a only a few having the Limp Bizkit / Rammstein dilemma but it seems to be the thorn in a lot of peoples sides on here... I would love to see Sonic Boom Six again as well, but up against those two they don't stand a chance... But I can live with that and Motorhead / Thunder / Acoustic TV being my only clashes for the weekend!

I saw Maiden at sonisphere in 2010 and I've never seen the hives so think I will end up splitting. Also seen rammstein at sonisphere and they were brill however never seen limp bizkit so I'm also a little torn there but just may watch a bit of limp then get to rammstein.

This will be my 6th time seeing Maiden, but there is still no competition, still one of the best live acts around and with the full Maiden England set going on, how could you possibly miss this!!!

Saw both at Soni then as well, plus Bizkit back in 09 at DL and they were much better then IMO... Will probably watch the start of Bizkit and see how they are going and then make the decision as to whether I switch to the main or stay til the end...
