Anyone know what "QI" at the University is? If I turn up will I get treated to Stephen Fry, Alan Davies, etc. If so, it becomes my most important event on the Sunday.

i don't know the answer, but i do know they did a live version of it in, i think, Australia before. so such a concept does exist.

Definitely keen to check that out, on the page it just links to the QI website with no more info about it. I think they're currently filming a new series though, so seems plausible that they're filimng an episode.

Thinking about it, I went to see the aforementioned Mr. Brigstock at the University at some point ("went to see" is a bit of a stretch, more like "randomly bimbled upon").

It was basically a rather small tent plus a couple of mikes and a PA system. I don't even recall there being a stage as such. Can't have been more than a few dozen people in there and it felt full.

Given this, I really can't see how that venue could host a full QI type show . You could hardly fit the guests and the desks in. I think even The Cabaret would struggle for the amount of people who would want to see that over Mumfords etc.

even more reason for it to be your most important event on the Sunday (or entire weekend) is that it is in fact 'Q', as in former Red Sox 1stbaseman, Carlos Quintana, making the first ever Glastonbury appearance of a Red Sox star....He's a guest of Bostonian Evan Dando, who's also playing on Sunday

I noticed QI and thought that'll do for me,should be good fun as the music is lacking for me on the Sunday and then I thought about the stage needed etc.

I do hope it is what it is.

Unless they've changed it this year, the tent that this stage is in can hold 50 people max... would be amazed if it is the full QI cast.

On the lineup (http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/#free_university_of_glastonbury) it now appears as John Mitchinson, who appears to be the head of research for QI. So it may just be him rather than Stephen Fry et al. doing a panel show?

Would have been a gret idea to have QI at glastonbury and all its querks!
